Monetize everything is the mantra, the current viewing model is broken and we are in the middle of a movement to monetize all that they possibly can. How this shakes out will be interesting to watch.

I only watch ESPN if I "have" to. Can't stand ESPN! Hope this deal does not happen!

I suppose it's not a bad move if the owners are conceding that they aren't savvy enough to make the most of this era. Though it seems to me that an ideal model would be them setting up their own shit and reaping all the rewards.

I haven't watched much ESPN in a while.
Would this deal potentially turn ESPN into the NFL propaganda network or is that what EPSN is already?
All those hot take shows that I don't watch not being able to criticize Goodell or the NFL would be, well, I still won't watch them.

Well, that would ruin the NFL channel for sure!:not:

What would you like about it? Just wondering.

Anything that could get MNF out of the dinosaur version of ESPN I'm all for. Don't like paying $60+ to watch one game a week. Nothing else on traditional cable channels is worth watching these days.

It already is a lot but I don't see it. NFL network is less pay than ESPN is right now.
I don’t know the NFL app on my Roku stick used to have tons of free content but starting this season 90% of it now falls under NFL+ which you need the subscription for. I just hope this doesn’t mean more generic/homogenized coverage than it already is.
