Well, Eli Manning didnt make it either, I'm sure that will please some people

All I care about is what @Loyal was wearing when he positioned himself at the red carpet to talk shite at the Shitters who showed up.

Oh and congrats to Jared. Well deserved. Now let's go get the hardware that matters next year.

JFC there is no way in hell that Sterling Sharpe should get in before Torry. Yea, SS was good and I know his career was cut short by injury, but that shouldn’t give him a leg up over someone like Holt who racked up huge numbers consistently for a decade.

Fucking ridiculous.
Favoritism bullshit over sustained excellence on the field. Fuck these voters.

Wait, Joe Burrow was named comeback player of the year? Comeback from what?
All these awards are just a joke but that takes the cake

I really, really hate that Torry Holt didn't make it in this time.

But, I can take off my Rams googles and see (saw) that Sterling Sharpe was a great WR and I believe a better football player than his brother. He probably would already have been in if not for something controversial that happened years ago of which I forget.

Love Holt. But unlike Holt, Sharpe was the main offensive weapon for the Packers and not one of many. And he did this playing at a time before rule changes the NFL implemented to make things easier on offenses.

Sorry Torry.
Congratulation Sterling.

I don’t recall anything controversial but maybe I forgot. Sterling Sharpe’s NFL career ended after just seven seasons because of a neck injury.

I'm aware of the injury, but he used to be on TV as a commentator then something happened and you never saw him on TV again.

According to ChatGPT Sterling Sharpe stepped away from TV for personal reasons. I thought he was pretty good on TV too.

———

Sterling Sharpe, a former NFL wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, transitioned to television commentary after his playing career, notably working with ESPN and later the NFL Network. However, he eventually stepped away from broadcasting. In a 2018 interview, Sharpe mentioned that he no longer follows football and expressed contentment with his post-football life, focusing on personal interests like golf and spending time with friends. This shift in focus suggests that his departure from TV commentary was a personal choice to pursue other passions and enjoy a more private life.

Yeah. After a quick search all I could find was that ESPN denied a contract renewal and replaced him with Michael Irvin.

Should we start a separate thread for Verse DPOY? Thats an impressive honor considering there were some good candidates. Including our own Braden Fiske. Two of the top 3 for the honor belongs to our team. People questioning if giving up a future 2nd for Fiske was worth it. I'd say it was.

I remember the talk that you can't replace Aaron Donald. They'll have to do it by committee. The committee consists of Verse/Fiske/Turner/Young. I'd say they're gonna be wreaking havoc for years to come. Maybe that should be their nickname. The Committee.
