To catch up a little here....

Ant Man- should be a good light hearted movie. And I've always had a thing for Evangeline Lilly ever since Lost so always appreciate watching her.

Deadpool 2- Liked seeing that shot of X-Force. I need to go to my mom's house and dig out all of my action figures from the early 90s. Had most of the X-Force and I always liked Shatterstar. Pretty cool.

Venom- I don't know about this one. I am a huge Spider-Man nerd from my childhood. I've got a lot of comics from the 80s and 90s and was obviously a huge Venom fan. Was ticked when they made the abomination in Spider-Man 3 and, while I do appreciate Tom Hardy in the role a lot more than Topher Grace, I don't see how they make this without Spider-Man. You don't have Venom and his deranged psyche without Spider-man first rejecting the symbiote and Peter Parker inadvertently ruining Eddie Brock's career and life. This movie seems like something DC would do by skipping the needed backstory and character development to do them justice. I hope I'm wrong.

Don't you mean Marvel?

Not really a fan of endless sequels, but this one hits all the erotic zones for me.
Love Guardians of the Galaxy, and I'm definitely a Marvel guy.

If you are intent on seeing it opening weekend (like me) then I'd advise to get tickets now. I just did and a third of the good seats are already taken.

But if you can wait a few weeks after release (and somehow avoiding spoilers)...then you have a helluva lot more willpower than the nerds.

I can wait until it gets streamed on KODI.
That's how much willpower I have.

I'll probably see it in the theaters next weekend though. I don't like to go when there's a shit ton of people in the theaters, because I can't take all the chatter. I know that's part of the experience for most people, but I'd prefer they act like they're sitting in my living room and STFU while the movie's running.

I have some doubts myself. I'm not sure if it's a casting issue or just a saturation issue.

Both for me. When they had Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in ' The Force Awakens', I knew I was done. When I realized it was a repeat of destroying the Deathstar, I was pissed that I wasted my time.

The middle series with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen should have been the end. It explained everything, case closed. Even that series had its faults. Hayden Christiansen was the start of the bad casting. He should find another line of work. The comic relief of Jar Jar Binks was dumb and unnecessary. It happened the story, similar to the way the Ewoks did.

To be honest, I looking forward to the possibility of a Star Wars movie that doesn't involve this storyline (Skywalkers, Solos, Deathstars, etc). The Star Wars universe is vast and there is plenty of content out there that could easily be made into a movie. Rogue One is a small step in this direction, tied to the main story through the death star, but a new set of characters with fresh storylines that don't involve the "Skywalker/Vader" story arc. I love the Star Wars movies, I just think that it should've ended with the original trilogy.

The weekend after release.

Oh.

There's still gonna be a shit ton of people tho lol. My theater's entire top half is sold out. Chatter is fine in small doses, and thankfully that's all I ever had to experience.

Except for the Avengers in 2012 when people were cheering and applauding. One guy was screaming "WHAT DID HE SAY" when Hulk smashed Loki. Well dumbass if your group didn't act like yall were at an NFL game you would've heard it!

Don't know if you gents seen the first one but if you haven't I highly recommend it if your bored as hell one night, you won't regret it. It is uniquely filmed and here is the trailer for the second one. Looks amazing! I live next to the murder capital of the world for so many years where the shock value of them uncovering another 4-10 dead bodies wasn't unusual for a long long time which is horrendous that one deadens themselves to that type of news.
