New Defense - Ongoing season discussion

I posted on September 9 that I thought this unit could be top 10 by the end of the year. It probably was even better! They surpassed my expectations. Particularly Verse. I didn't think a DE that relies almost exclusively on his power would translate this well, this fast to the NFL level. But somehow he can bully even HOF tackles as a rookie. We are 1 good corner and LB'er away from being maybe the best defense in the NFL IMO. Crazy to think. I expect run discipline to improve with experience (and better LB play).

Did The Rams mess up not having Ernest Jones ? Speights come on & played well.IMO he is depth.Rosenboom looked like he got exposed?
Still upset they didn’t address the mlb position better & then just trade EJ 53 away ?
He played hard & can’t take away the Geowth of the Defense.

I feel like this comment belongs here, how many of us before the season thought they would really miss Coach Henderson?
It feels like they didn’t miss him at all. That speaks really well to their hiring processes.

Yeah, I think we had a pretty good draft.

And yeah, I think the extra draft capital given up for Fiske was more than worth it.

Our Safety room is seriously deep now. Lake S/NB, K Kinchens, K Curl, McCollough. Not sure Johnson will be back. Great depth here.
