Fisher will not sit Keenum after this win. WE WON IN LA, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so over the moon after this win...I know we will not progress until Goff is the starter, but this isn't the week..Our defense beat Winston last year..We can beat them the same way, with Keenum......I don't expect any change whatsoever.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking it. This was just about worst case scenario. Keenum played just well enough to justify keeping him as the starter, and Rams win despite the fact that we still haven't scored a touchdown this season. Keenum stays the starter, and Fisher will probably get an extension.

That's the problem I was talking about before this game. I wanted to root for the Rams to win, but I knew if Keenum played just well enough for us to pull off a win, it would make Fisher think he's right to continue to sit Goff.

That Niner defense that was able to shut out the Rams gave up 46 points today! The Rams won today despite the offense generating no TD's! That is very rare in today's NFL. The Rams may as well go with Goff. He may make more mistakes but he can at least open up the offense with his ability to throw the ball downfield and give Gurley less than 8 in the box on every play. That said, the biggest problem seems to be an offense that apparently tips off defenses what they are running by their formation and motion. If Kelly can get San Fran to score with no name receivers, a bad Qb, and an average O line, why can't the Rams?

I remember three throws off the top of my head that were huge--one being a TD to Britt against Sherman-- that fell incomplete due to Keenum's lack of arm strength.

I'll celebrate the win, as I hate the Seahawks, but damn this Fisherball is hard to root for... even in victory.

You mean the pass that Dick Sherman grabbed Britts arm and held on to him tighter than the refs held the flags?

I really don't think Fisher will make his first start on the road in front of a hostile crowd. I think we really work to get the running game going to keep the ball out of their hands. I look to see more 2 and 3 TE sets next week.

Edit: Unless Keenum gets injured, I could see Goff starting against the Bills in Week 5. The next two games on the road will be brutal, and if Fisher feels he can squeak out at least one or both wins with Keenum, during those games, he will not make the move.

Agree. Hell, Fisher gave a game ball to Keenum for being 2-0 against the Seahawks, doubt he's going to pull him now. While i've also mentioned the game 5 home game against Buffalo as being the day Goff could make his debut as a starter, i'd also prefer he return to sitting out against both TB and AZ for our next two road games. If Keenum has to come out, play Mannion in those games, and prep Goff for the Bills. Who knows, maybe we'll have even traded for a WR1 by that time. jmo.

Well then I guess someone has to be *this* guy.

No chance Fisher sits Keenum after we won. He was awful but it didn't kill us. Another week it will do...but then he'll tell us he'll watch the tape and get that fixed.

I'm expecting Keenum to continue playing until Week 5. Either way, we need to figure out how to get TDs, luckily Tampa is a beatable team but they're overdue for a win against us (we beat the m the last four matchups)
