I buried my Mom today. She was the most loving, caring person I have ever known. She was a genuine, transparent person, and if you knew her you knew that she was about treating all people with the respect that they deserved. Honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to her family and friends. She was smart as a whip, but never intimidating about it. We didn't have a lot of money while I was growing up, but we never knew it. We had everything we needed and wanted not. I love her dearly and I know she loved me as well. What I would give just to see her one more time and tell her that.

It's not just me. The community thinks so as well. So I wanted to share it with this community. I know you guys don't know me, but I come here often. Please hug the ones you love, and if you can't, give them a call. You truly never know when the last time will be.

We are all here for a short time, but I will never touch the amount of lives in such a way that she did. She was that special.

Sorry to hear it Juice. You, your family and her friends have my condolences. Reminds me I need to call my dad today and appreciate the loved ones I have around me.

Thanks for sharing with us during your time of sorrow. Condolences to you and your family and to all the lives your Mom has affected thru the years. Make her proud and carry on her tradition as you move forward with your life.

I know it doesn’t ease your pain much, but it felt good to read your words. It was kind of you to share that in the manner you did.

She sounds like an amazing person. Thank you for sharing a bit of her story with us. I lost my mother 11 years ago and still think of her every day.

Deeply sorry for your loss.
I know exactly how you feel.

My mum was diagnosed with cancer and passed away within two weeks.

There's so many memories, but so many more things that I would like to share with her.

At the time we had a little dog, Sparky.
When my mum was in hospital she asked me to have Sparky put to sleep as she worried that I wouldn't have time to really take care of him whilst working. He was a pampered pooch.
I refused and looked after him for 6 months after my mum passed.
He also got sick and I made the hard decision to have him put down. He was 14 and a half.
He was also the last link to my mum.

It is a real test of character that brings you through this.

Thanks for sharing this Juice. Your mom was obviously a great person and influence on your life and those of others.

I’m not sure you ever get over a loss like this, nor that you really should. She will be with you and in your soul for ever.

Positive thoughts and peace to you and your family.

It's just gone a year since I lost my mum. Stay strong because if you're anything like me you'll be numb for 6 months and think "this ain't so bad really", then WHAM. That'll last a month or two and then... well then it honestly does start to get slowly better.
