Huntington Beach has a big dog beach. Seapoint Drive and PCH.

Seal Beach, we just take him to the jetty, just north of the pier. Don't think it's an official dog beach, but it's away from everyone and we never have issues. Just have to go during low tide.

I'll have to check it out if I'm down that way with the dog. I usually take mine out north of Emma Woods (north of Ventura) along the Rincon Pkwy (PCH). The problem with my dog is getting him to the beach. As soon as he starts to smell the sea air he starts losing his :poop: in the back seat. :yay::yay::yay: I do enjoy his enthusiasm but when he starts barking in my ear, that's a little uncomfortable. This is where his mouth is relative to my ear a lot of the time...

Actually, he's a total schmoozer - all you single guys, a pup is the original chick magnet. (Why didn't I get one of these in my 20's?):shades:

I spent a large portion of Sunday on the beach with my dog and my girlfriend. After having dinner in Ojai, we went back to the coast and hung out at the Ventura Harbor until sunset. I'd have to set the over/under at 300 for the number of women that laid hands on the dog.:shades::whistle: To her credit, my girlfriend managed to subdue most of her annoyance with all the women that approached us throughout the day. The dog is a rockstar! Even at his advanced age! It's hard to go wrong with a Golden. They are indeed chick magnets! (y)

I thought you guys might enjoy hearing this. As you know, we had to have our beloved Harley put down right after Thanksgiving last year.

Since then, we had an artist friend of ours paint a picture of him from a photograph. She did an amazing job as the painting looks just like the pic and Harley. We have it hanging at the top of our stairs so we see it every time up and down the stairway. The pic was taken when we were down in the Keys... it was Harley's favorite place. He loved it so much there you could literally see him smiling when he was there. We were able to take him there many times through his 16 yrs.

A few weeks back, my family went back to the Keys. It was our 1st time back without our boy. But my wife and I took his ashes with us so that we could release them there in the place that made him happiest. On June 12th... my wife and I had a private moment as we released him into the crystal clear water. Hard to describe properly... but it was beautiful.

My wife doesn't know it yet... but I'm having a silver bracelet made for her that has the exact GPS coordinates of the location where we released Harley into the water engraved on the outside (with a couple of rubies for the degree symbols). On the inside it will have Harley's name and the date 6-12-16... the date we released his ashes. I should have it in a few weeks.

Welp... not good news for my boy..has a massive tumor on his lung and it isnt operable at his age.

Vet told us to make him as comfortable as we can, and we will know when its time.
