Agreed. There is no reason to go low and at the knee on a player at any time, much less when he is engaged.. There could be a fine and/or suspension for this. Then again, it's the steelers... So I doubt it.

Prolly. I just don't think it was purposeful. He got banged up too though of course no where near as Nick Chubb.

Well I didn't say he went low on accident. He most definitely went low. But I disagree at the "going for the knee" part. Real-time, real speed he and the lineback were doing separate moves and worst case happened.

Please explain wth else is he going to hit when going low like that? I'm really curious about this and how you're justifying the way Minkah did this.

So, are you drawing a distinction between ... Going low (on purpose) to the knee ... and Going for the knee?

Uhhh trying to make him fall over his body and trip him up? Not seeing any part of his body aiming for the knee? Didn't see any launching or targeting?

Justifying? Wow dude. Just bc I don't think intent was there? I acknowledged he went low. I just don't think he was "going for" anything. Trying to give benefit of doubt. That's all.

In this case yeah. I didn't see anything to suggest that he was aiming for the knee. Or going to the knee either. Other angles show he was almost perpendicular to Nick Chubb.

You can go low and try to slow him down, make him stumble,, etc. Things are happening fast so it happened right when he was being tackled too.

Ebukam and Okoronko were two pretty decent ends that we couldn't keep due to our team building plan. Both have had nice careers since leaving us.
