Excuse Me What The Fuck You Say GIF by Power Book II: Ghost

In case you, um, didn't watch...we utterly shut down the 69ers in the second half and won the game. This is a very young defense with a very young DC. It's going to take time to gel, and we'll be even better when guys like Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and Jared Verse get up to Byron Young's level. We could even put Tyler Davis and/or Desjuan Johnson at nose to help with the running game (don't lambast me for saying Johnson could help; in college, he was a dominant run-stopper). Replacing Rozeboom/Reeder with Speights/Hummel would be nice, but we'll see when that happens. Durant's having a nice bounce-back year and getting Darious Williams back after the bye will help a tremendous amount.

This is three games in, we're 1-2, and this season is not over yet.

The pressures are there for our young D-line, which should soon turn into sacks or hurried throws, and I'm not worried about the secondary either. They will improve when Darious Willians comes back and I don't believe they have been that bad, especially when QBs have had "forever" to find a receiver. It's the linebackers that I am truly worried about, at this point anyway.

I’m not quite as worried about LBs.. Reeder has been functional. Rozeboom not so much. We’ll see.

The poster’s bio says he is from the City of Angels.

This is one reason why Niners’ fans (and a few other teams) have a dominant presence at SoFi. There are some great Rams’ fans in Los Angeles. Just not enough.
I think when you have locales the size of L.A., you have populations with more than a stadium full of fans of every team. They're all waiting for their team to come play the Rams. It's happening to other teams in other large metropolitan areas as well.

Early returns are devastating for clueless Shula. Bad mistake promoting this guy to DC.

DUMP HIM!
The strategy on 3rd down is hold the receivers first and if you cant get a good hold on them then interfere. Yea that’s the ticket.

Gotta live with the hire this year.
Defense is young and is lowest 2024 paid defense in NFL.

Nowhere to go but up.

Are you afraid of growing pains?

Did OND create a new username to post under? New DC, new username to post the same thing every week?

Too early to judge Shula. It has been a disappointing four weeks but a lot of factors to look at still before we get a clear picture of what this team actually is.

Very young defense and traded one of our best players. Not sure how you’re equating that to the potential of a top 15 D.

Curious, how did you feel about Rah in the 21-22 season?

Are we a bad defense? Yeah. Are we the worst? Maybe. But 4 games in you don't fire your DC. It sends a bad message. Rams are not a team that knee jerk reacts. If they never improve as the season goes on then its time to move on after the season. Its a marathon. Not a sprint.

Considering AD retired, top CB hasn’t played yet, significantly relying upon rookies and 2nd year guys, etc. — I think the D has played pretty well. I’m not sure what some expected.

Without all the catastrophic OL and WR injuries, we likely win the Lions and Bear games.
