One of the best changes to our offense this year has been Tutu in motion and attacking off the LOS. This motion has single handedly freed him up and given him clean releases. It lets him showcase his hands and route running in the intermediate game, both plus aspects of his game.

Credit to McVay for "adding" it, and with a healthy Stafford this offense will be cooking when Kupp comes back.

Credit to McDaniels, they’ve been doing it in Miami with Hill and Waddle.

Pleasantly surprised by Tutu’s hands
Yeah, there are some articles and vids out there stating that McVay and others are stealing from McDaniels playbiok, haha... Ohhhh, so sorry... motherfuckers have been stealing Mcvay's plays, players and STAFF for years.

He has been solid in the middle of the field too. In fact, both he and Nacua have been. Add Kupp to that and wow, the run game will explode because teams will be dropping 7.

I think Mike LaFleur should get some credit.

The offense is quick and attacking this year. Seeing the difference from previous years, I think his game planning and scheming must be making an impact.

It's awesome for sure! Let's add, Tutu was rarely on the line before anyways and was given free-er releases with being in bunched sets and long motion. The short motion is so great cause instead of going across the line and allowing defenses to check to another coverage in the secondary, the short motion doesn't allow them time to check coverage.

I except we'll see some fake short motions soon.

Yea McVay, Shanny, McDaniels, LaFluer all seem to steal from each other and it makes sense. But I agree, seems like everyone has been taking from us the last few years so love how it’s our turn this yr.

Personally I thought he showed soft hands in college with a nice ability to catch balls in traffic given his size. But this offense is demanding on receivers so I’m happy to see him develop and show out through 2 weeks.

Exactly man, I’ve been loving it! The short motion into bunch and sometimes splitting the other two receivers at the snap seems like a nightmare to stop lol. I bet it leads to some big blown coverages down the field. I’m anticipating a 50+ yard TD in the next week or two.

Yea for real. Many impressive aspects to McVay, but Idk if I’ve ever seen a coach replenish his staff as well as McVay does. They’re not all perfect hires either, but credit to him for moving on quickly if it was a bad decision.

Agreed 100%.

McVay has said multiple times, it's a copycat league.
Boy back in my day we never copied plays.

His hands were never in question for those of us who have always liked him. Speed (obviously) and hands were his strengths.
Totally ignoring the target stat, Tutu's catch ratio is 9/10. In comparison Van's is a 7/10.

I am loving the new wrinkles in our offense. McVay or Lafluer, stealing some schemes, whatever it is… keep doing it!

Can’t wait until Kupp is back.
