Okay, so you never been wrong about a player evaluation? I know I have over the years and although I remember the ones I got right, like pounding the table for Will Shields Guard (HOF), only to see the Rams draft RB Russell White a few picks ahead of the Chiefs, I have gotten more wrong as Zach Wiegert comes to mind.

Jourdan puts herself out there and it is okay to disagree, that is what is great about this country, however, I will disagree with her being a hack and feel that she has provided more good information then bad. Maybe a hanger Steak with some sizzle.
Man....
I was so stoked when the Rams drafted Wiegert. I was totally convinced he was going to be a perennial Pro-Bowl player.
Was sold on Jimmy Kennedy, Tommy Polley (he was solid), Charles White, Adam Carriker...

Man, when the Rams drafted Jimmy Kennedy the hc Martz said they didn't even really do much study on him because they thought he was going in the top 5.

I don't know if he was just talking crap but if they did they would have known why all the other teams in the top 10 passed on him. What a bust.

.

I'm a Rams Homer, so I rarely get upset over draft picks (until they prove to be total busts), but I was super pissed when they took Donnie Avery instead of DJax....

Martz really wanted to draft Troy Polamalu, but when Kennedy dropped Jay Zygmunt said that paying a DT top money was more prudent then paying a safety first round money. Keep in mind that back then the rookie pay scale was different and rookies especially first round picks got a ton of money. Regardless Zygmunt being such a brilliant financier proved once again that his strength was his weakness when it came to evaluating players. Again, if I ever run into to Jay Zygmunt I will punch him in his big fat face.

Jay Z was a total nightmare.

While they were the wrong choices at the time, I'll die on the hill in believing that chances for success for Eddie Kennison and even the Eric Crouch project died after two HUGE hits they took. I mean they got rocked. Neither looked the same thereafter during their stages of development.

Yeah, it's funny, there are so many variables that affect things. NFL really is a sliding doors kinda business.

We've discussed that with QBs before too. Someone above mentioned Carriker. Had he gone to a 3-4 team or a team that wasn't so stuck on it's defense and had a more varied front I think he might have been a just below pro-bowl level player for part of his career.

I don’t agree on her Ramsey bit.IMO The Rams depth is solid.
She did say at The End as well about Big Rob’s shoulders being cleaned out & they need depth. She doesn’t give David Quessinbury much credit, but IMO he already is fitting in & can handle The RT position if needed.

Like I said I respect her,but don’t always agree. She has her mind & thoughts plus an inside track. Gives good insight, but she doesn’t give a good spot light on The Rams CB’s.Once again Ahkello is The Dawg & silent leader.I don’t think they want to lose any of there youth as well.

She goes through a lot,but I’ll leave it at this for now.

She’s got my respects!! Just mad at her letting Sean Mcvay not get his due respect over the weekend DEMOFF gave him.He let her in & Trusted her.
Mcvay was hurt I’m sure and lost a little respect, but has always treated her well as a professional.I give her credit for keeping the story in until a later date. It also makes for a better story.

One thing you can say about JR is she is a TRUE RAMS FAN !!

Was hoping for this article since hearing McVay name drop Petersen in pressers.
Yeah, our new TE coach is a Petersen guy, doesn't mean his resume is immune from scrutiny.
Jourdan isn't a media goddess, more like our very own chonky plushie Rams correspondent.
I like her - she is one of the better journalists out there right now.. but I do think she is a bit overated around here.

She loves the Rams or at least sells us on that - so people seem to love her because of that, but her actual content is solid but not amazing to me.

But then again that can be hard when teams will never really tell you anything.
