Disagree about over playing his hand but that's fine. And MLB is a collection of team so yes the Dodgers as well who caved to the cancel culture crowd.
Cancel Culture Crowd? More like 30 very good decisions. The guy is an assclown who's drama outweighs his talent. That's saying a lot because he is extremely talented. And that was even BEFORE all this psycho-sex shit. All things considered, he earned what he got.

Hey maybe he can win Nippon Pitcher of the Year this season and set it on his mantle right next to Mexican League Pitcher of the Year.

What crime did he commit to get blacklisted?

Nevermind this has been rehashed too many times don't care anymore. I am both glad and sad by the whole situation. Glad he was vindicated and not found guilty of any crimes.

Sad that a other woman falsely accused a guy of something making it harder for actual victims to come forward and be believed.

None. So you're of the belief it HAS TO BE a crime that gets you blacklisted? It can't be something as simple as "we don't want to be associated with that...(for lack of a better word).....piece of shit"?

Star athletes get away with so much shit because of their celebrity (Brett Favre comes to mind), that it feels good to see one of them pay with their career. And this jackass still makes a good living playing baseball. Just not ML baseball.

Here's a question for those who believe he's being cancelled. Would you mind him dating your daughter? Or sister? Or grandaughter? Scumbags NEED to be cancelled.

As far as your other post (feeling sorry for women), you don't truly believe it would be any easier for women without those false accusors, do you? If you do, you haven't been paying attention. As some men say, "it's a man's world". Men make the rules.

It's bad enough but this makes it even harder for women to come forward.

I have to ask what besides having questionable sexual tastes makes him a piece of shit?

And as to questionable sexual tastes - if it is legal - whatever floats your boat and the other party is 100% consensual (I stress the 100% part).

Well that all depends on the consensual part (and in what state he performed some of those acts).....

Fixed it for you

Well I don't consider him a piece of shit for having somewhat questionable sexual tastes.

Weird - yes but piece of shit - no

So imho - he got screwed by baseball

After scoring 18 runs in a game last weekend Dodgers offense is struggling in St Louis. So far 13 scoreless innings. Will they finally break out?

Dodgers finally get a run in the top of the 9th. Because a sure ground ball out from Ohtani hits second base. He then scores from 3rd on a wild pitch strikeout. Of course they got walked off in the bottom of the 9th due to the second bad throw by Casparius.

And I blame Roberts for keeping Casparius in the game.

And another Dodgers pitching starter goes down with an elbow injury. I foresee another TJ surgery for Gonsolin.

It wasn't so much his pitching as it was his defense. Both runs were due to his throwing errors.

Great win yesterday. How bout Ol Kersh!!! The GOAT.

Onto SD....its a grind fellas....

Yamamoto is the only starter left from the opening day rotation. They've had to start guys like Knack, Wrobleski and Casparius. May and Gonsolin are struggling. Kershaw is far from the guy he was a few years ago. Its amazing they're still clinging to first place. A slim margin but as long as they're right there I think we'll see it like last year when they won more games in August and September.

After the break they should get some guys back. Snell is getting closer. Glasnow I don't know. But I doubt he'd finish the season anyway. Sasaki should be back at some point. Ohtani is getting closer to pitching for the first time in a couple years. Reinforcements are coming. They just hang in there till then.

Dont forget Emmet Sheehan...love where we are at right now.

I believe false accusers should sometimes serve the very prison sentence/punishment they sought for their falsely accused victim. And that doesn't mean grey areas that sometimes need to be arbitrated. I'm talking set-ups, and outright liars.

You are right @OldSchool false accusations (Duke Lacrosse, etc.) jade society, and are toxic. Yet the accuser gets to run off after the bulk of the damage is already done. I have a wife, a daughter, granddaughter. To sober-minded people these are just common-sense things.

Ah, the "some say" fallacy argument. This is why most American media is not trusted anymore. You simply insert "Some say..." Into any narrative and you have free reign to pepper your audience with your own narrative. "Men" have no inherent virtue, or faults. Nor do women. Plenty of examples of a woman "making the rules" that have been disastrous. Stop with this nonsense.

As a man embarrassed to have a journalism degree, (a paper product I count alongside those in my home on a toilet paper roll. At least TP has usage) the industry has few heroes, and many shills.

Some say they are dopes. :sneaky:
