So throw the GB game out the window. Rams likely beat them if fully healthy. But the Cowboys game is relevant. Rams got curb stomped and I think they’d lose again if they played the Boys this week. Lions went toe to toe and should have beat them. That’s a good showing.
Lions got stomped by Baltimore, and Rams took em to OT

Regarding the previous post of us losing bad vs Dallas and Detroit almost beating them-Kyren sat vs Dallas…This team is completely different if Kyren plays and I think we could beat Dallas with him…As far as this Sunday-The emergence of Robinson as a bona fide #3 and redzone option has made this offense very dangerous. I am worried about holding up vs. free blitzers , Martindale saw a weakness and kept attacking (Giants held us down in the 4th qtr and got to Matt quite a bit). McVay needs to call a balanced gameplan and not get too pass happy as the game wears on. We are a better run blocking unit than straight drop back pass blocking IMO. Our defense needs to get off the field on 3rd downs or I think we lose this game. The Lions will beat us in a shootout I think. Their OLine is bigger and better IMO. In several games this season we have blown big leads because we leave our corners on islands when they are already gassed on D. We need a huge game from AD and Kobie. Go for 2 early and often and all 4th and short (under 4 yards) inside the opponent 40

I guess my point is I consider the Lions to be a very formidable foe. The Rams can beat them but IMO it will take stellar play by the offense as the Lions will score some points against our defense.
They are formidable and they're at home. Their secondary sucks but if their rush is productive they'll be able to cause us issues.

I'm not overconfident in this one by any means. I like our chances but part of my confidence is that this team has already outperformed its roster quality to some extent, so this playoff game is gravy on top of all that. We're the barbarians at the gate.

I watched that game today they had guys missing and/or got benched after that game. Not saying their secondary is good --- but they have Ifeatu Melifonwu playing now, and they got C.J. Gardner-Johnson. IMO CGJ is a good player ... he can make a difference in them being better in the secondary... and they have a nickel package with a decent cover/blitz LBer-- Jalen Reeves-Maybin

it looked like the Lions played hard but played badly. Jackson was throwing darts.

It's possible the Ravens played their best game and Lions their worst.

I understand your point ... and it could end up being right but the Lions teams I've seen last couple of weeks look better than the one vs Balt ... hope you are right, though...

Let’s see how many holds on AD the Lions get away with.

The over/under is 6.5
0 if it’s the same umpire who worked with this ref on the Rams/Ravens game. F that guy

This concerns me a bit.
Can he return kicks and is he willing to put his body on the line against a gunner sprinting downfield looking for that highlight hit? Stupid, stupid decision IMO.

How much did it help when Faulk returned kicks when the Rams were desperate?

Two keys for me are running the ball well on Offense and getting pressure on Goff. Lions are good against the run, but haven't really faced a scheme like the Rams. Will be fun.

I don’t remember Faulk even doing it.

St.Brown is deadly and shifty.
Give him a little space to run and he’s tough to catch.

Um...didn't Baltimore stomp the Lions???

What you're saying ain't relevant because EVERY game take on it's own nature. Just sayin'.

My thing is "after the snap"...that's when it all starts. FORGET THE SEASON...THIS IS PLAYOFF BALL!!!

Martz used to get desperate and send him out to return kicks cause he was hard to tackle. Maybe occurred 3-4 times, but never resulted in any wild swing of field position.

This of course assumes the Rams will even punt on Sunday.

I'm looking for McVay to show EVERY wrinkle in the playback. Including putting Skow in the backfield!!!

GO FOR THE JUGULAR!!!
