PFF doesn't grade a center's calls.
Whoops. Guess I need to opt out of the PFF conversation, obviously not my area of focus.

I like Limmer as a run blocker. He stood out to me in the combine because of how well he moved. But he doesn’t translate as well as a pass blocker. I hope it’s just that he needs to gain experience pass blocking NFL top level interior pass rushers. There have been a few games where he gave up pressure.

He’s much better than what the Rams have had for several years.

And in regard to Limmer, Stafford said he was making all of the pass pro calls; Limmer was making the run blocking calls.
Noob question: wouldn't this tip off the D?

He might be better at G. He also played there in college and 6'5" centers are not that common. If McMahon could develop, might have two late rd steals. The Eagles drafted McMahon in the 6th as well.

Good question. I'm just repeating what the announcers said that Stafford said.

I suppose if they did that 100% of the time it would tip the defense off. Of course then Stafford could play mind games and correct a call to make them think it's a pass when it's actually a run or vice versa.

Well, we paid him big money because he is a good OG. Problem is that our current starters are better. ;)

Well, they had a plan but not sure they checked to see if avila could still play the center position at a high level before they signed this guy.

Apparently he couldn't when they hit the field so they swapped them around. We know the rest.

I think they were surprised that Avila didn't acclimate well there. It's understandable why that would be surprising. He started 17 games at Center, 15 games at Left Guard, 2 games at Right Tackle, and 1 game at Right Guard while in college. So this wasn't the first time he played the position.

All I know is that we had many games with Limmer at Center and didn't give up any sacks, so the whole line plays well with him in there.
