I was 11, and was sick as a dog. Watched the game on my parents bed on a black and white TV while the family was out celebrating post new years.
Williams couldnt hit the broad side of a barn and his back up was no better. Still I was petrified that Bell would break one...
Good times, even in the bad times....

SO MANY modern day penalties on the intro, alone!

I was at that game.

My family came back to the Mainland (FL) from The 808 for the holidays and my Grandfather surprised me with tickets. I made my own foam #1 giant hand to put on my hand and wrote #1 Ram Fan on it.

The game sucked, but we won. My hatred for Tampon was started. That Old Sombrero stadium had flat aluminum benches with seat numbers painted on it. It sucked... but I was in heaven watching our Rams win their ticket to the Super Bowl.

I think we are the same age.

Exactly how I would describe it.

I'm older than you and @dieterbrock ... but far-less mature, so it balances out ... and was 19 at the time; and had endured NFC Championship Game losses in four of the prior six seasons. So despite the Suckiness, it was a Great Game in-my-book!!!

Same here. I was dropping out of college at the time. After all the heartache 73-78, there was no such thing as suckiness! That would have been a loss, which occurred in the next game. But at the time, I was sure the worm had turned and we'd be back soon enough. Not 20 years later!!!

Ha

Care to make a bet as to who is far-less mature?

I take pride in my caveman child-like ways. I believe I would far exceed in all levels of immaturity!

Should have won that game 30-0, LT Doug France from The Ohio State University, totally stonewalled HOF DE Lee Roy Selmon, who never got a whiff of Vince Anthony Ferragamo.

Just finished rewatching that snoozer. Took me two days!
