Turns out he’s a pretty damn good OC. Just didn’t have the horses in ‘22?

He's one of the "hot names" to get HC interviews this offseason.

He is and he wasn't bad in 2022. Hard to do anything as OC with all those injuries.
Yep. We set the record for different O-Line combos that season. Was pretty rough.

Has zero answers for Dallas blitzes though which makes no sense with all the screens and slants they were running earlier.

I don't think Coen is particularly special. But I do agree he got fucked by circumstance in 2022.

Robinson was qb coach then I'd wager it was him with support from Coen. Go back and find the pressers if you want.
It was Robinson who gave him the crash course to be ready in a day for a Thursday game. Coen was still there & had to prepare a game plan.? Not 100 % sure .I do know it sort of saved The Rams season. They really needed that victory.
Didn’t the RB’s coach bail as well that year & Thomas Brown went switched from TE’s coach ? Kromer taking his place ?
Rams last game was 1/8/23.

Liam Coen, Zac Robinson, Thomas Brown, Wes Phillips, Shane Waldron (taken over for Brown being made interim in Chicago) are 5 ex-McVay offensive assistants as currently active OC's. When you figure in 3 head coaches (LaFleur, Taylor, O'Connell) and their successes, it makes those guys considerations for any opening. I think the first two are the best options, while the other 3 have a way to go. Then there are the ex-defensive assistants like Ejiro Evero and Jimmy Lake, added to defensive guys who've been hired to be head coaches like Raheem and Staley. McVay has a lot of tenacles throughout the league in just 8 years.

Shane Waldron did not take over for Thomas Brown. Waldron was fired by Matt Eberflus and he promoted Brown to OC and then the Bears fired Eberflus and promoted Brown to Interim HC.
