I doubt even they care, they like us have a lot of rules that really don't make sense in this new, modern time, but are kept simply in formality that nobody really enforces unless somebody points it out.
 
Interesting thread. I would have been in the same boat as King James. I don't know shit about their customs across the pond. If I was in their country,,, I'd pay much more attention to cultural differences. They're in the U. S. A. ... and they were being given some serious extra attention because of "who" they are. If they take offense to the hospitality of KING James... they shouldn't leave their homeland.


As a King myself,,, in fact, The KING of Kings,,, I will just go ahead and pardon the young King James.

Especially Royal Duchess herself who hasn't done a damn thing in her life to this point and likely won't and has a name because she married someone who isn't anything more than a figurehead himself?

I try not to let the shit media piss me off these days, but damned if I'm not sick and tired of the American obsession with British Royalty.

Why would you be upset if I'm interested in that? I'm not lobbying for a Monarchy in the US. I just find the history of the British Empire really interesting, and am somewhat of a History buff myself. With regards to what the Royals do to earn their powers or positions, it's no less offensive than our own Political leaders and how they obtain and misuse their own individual powers as representatives of the people.

Yikes. That was borderline political, so that's all I'm gonna say about that.

hah. You're fine bro. I wasn't ranting at you. I was ranting at the American Royal obsession in general (and not from a historical standpoint), but then, with a journalism background, my hate is a little more honed than most.

Nothing was more vomit inducing during undergrad than walking into the J-Lab with that horse shit wedding coverage and everyone losing their minds about it.

I personally know a few people who are interested in the history of the Royal Family and follow them. I know one woman who has read so many books about them she could probably write one of her own!

Well that I can understand (your problem with it). I'm not interested in fairy tales or extravagant weddings either. Or the social media frenzy generated by it.
