Only thing I can think of is that that the Washington Redskins were beaten by the Arizona Cardinals on that date in 2016, 23-31. McVay was the OC......Don't know if that;s it.
 
McVay wasn't hired by the Rams until Jan 12, 2017

Okay, but this is Decemer 4th were talking about. I wish @RamBall would get back on here to explain and he works nights so I doubt he'll see this till morning. The mystery is killing me!

It’s simple. The redskins lost dec 4th, the rams lost to New England dec 4th, the rams fired fisher on the 13th and hired McVay on January 13th. Get it now?
Me neither....
 
The numerical dates. Dec 12 month 4 day. 12-4

July 7 month 9 day 7-9.
