JuJu Smith-Schuster says Cowboys and Rams have shown the most interest

As USC receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster prepares for the 2017 draft, he says two teams have shown the strongest desire to secure his services.

The Cowboys and the Rams have shown the most interest, Smith-Schuster said on Friday’s PFT Live.

While Smith-Schuster said he doesn’t have a wish list of teams for which he’d like to play (although he seems to believe players should be able to pick their NFL teams and not vice-versa), he said last month he’d like to play for the Chargers.

JU JU's real effective in the middle of the field. Comes up with the ball in traffic.

Probably not going to be there at 37.

I differ only because, I think there are 4 maybe 5 WR's that cold go before JuJu, so he could be their for the Rams IF they want him!

The "5";
* Mike Williams
* Cory Davis
* Cooper Kupp
* Zay Jones
* John Ross

I know highlight videos are just that, all the good stuff, but this guy uses his hands well. I think there were only two "body" catches in this whole sequence. He goes and gets the ball and doesn't wait for it to come to him.

Fearless is another word to describe him.

Wouldn't mind him being in horns.

He might not explode with speed or quickness... but he looks like a pretty solid WR prospect who could provide Goff an easy target.

We won't draft him, unless they have him as BPA when we pick. That's my draft philosophy, and that's how we've been doing it under Stephen and Will McClain.

We will have a good wr prospect fall to us.
JJuju, Godwin or Kupp would be fine by me.
If we could somehow snag Davis, I would cry tears of joy.

I definitely don't want a TE at 37. I don't want to see a TE until rnd 4 at the earliest. They just take WAY too long to develop.

Followed JuJu through his stay at USC and his game translates well to the "League" I would be very happy with him.
The concern is that USC has had a run of top WR prospects the last decade and they have had only marginal success in the NFL. JuJu is a physical guy who locates the ball very early, times his jump and uses his body and strong hands to snatch the ball away from defenders. Upside is Alshon Jeffery even a little Boldin.

I think he has a real high chance of being there at 37. But so will some other WRs who they might prefer over him. He's definitely a possibility though.

I've been a JuJu fan since before the draft and if some how he does end up being the pick at #37, I sure hope there is a plan B package attached to JuJu after he's been selected.

PLAN B: Rams draft another WR no later than the 4th round with respectable hands and elite speed that can take the top off of a defense..

There are some quality deep threat speed WR's rated with 4th round grades and I'm hoping the Rams have a couple of them targeted.

I've seen him a ton. I've compared him to the other receivers rated the same, and with the exception of Davis, he'd be my guy, for his size, hands, savvy, RAC, competitiveness, and blocking. I added on to your quote, because I agree, we still need to take the top off, although JuJu ran a lot better than expected. In addition, pairing JuJu with Wood, who is already a friend, could really boost his transition into the NFL.

Oh believe me you will not get one complaint out of me should JuJu be the pick at #37

My only point was the Rams will still need a deep threat specialist added in this draft. I'm just not comfortable with Tavon and Mike Thomas be counted on for that role.

The WR position is such a glaring weakness on the Roster outside of Robert Woods imo...

No deep threats with respectable hands are on the Rams current roster as of 04/22/2017.

BPA, based on team needs that is...

I definitely feel the Rams should go BPA with our initial pick.

I'd say Anquan Boldin or Hines Ward are his ultimate potential. I'd say Michael Crabtree is his most realistic outcome.

He's not Alshon. He doesn't dominate at the catch-point like Alshon.(doesn't have Alshon's hands) But he's strong, incredibly physical before and after the catch, tough to tackle, and sneaky athletic. He also plays the game with a real mean streak.

I think if you walk into the draft with that mindset, you risk on passing on a better WR to try and fill a specific role. For example, if Woods and Juju prove to be very effective WRs, our other WRs will get deep looks simply by virtue of the attention paid to those two.

.

usc wr? no thanks. they always seem to disappoint in the nfl lately.

besides, the rams already have more than enough usc wrs in robert woods. let's not get crazy now.
