Wonder how long before buyers remorse sets in. Followed by cap hell as they will be on the hook for his contract even after they bench him in favor of some other average Joe.

I dont know about saying he should be benched... but can you blame some of us for enjoying watching him suck?
I mean for real, the dude has played 7 games and everybody is swinging on his nuts, including some around here.

I wouldn’t write the kid off this early. Goff has similar stats against the Vikings too last year and he turned out alright lol.

It's one game against the Vikings. He didn't deserve the hype he got (it was baffling to see how many people demanded more of Goff while hyping the hell out of Jimmy). But this one game doesn't prove anything.

Idgaf At least they can’t say he’s an unbeatable God. Dude is okay, better than CrapOnDick. Can’t wait until the realize they let the analysts pump up their nuts a little to much. Going to love lurking on their forums to read their disappointment this year.

First 8 games as a niner and he has a 8-8 TD/INT ratio. That last pick he threw was horrible and I think he will be more turnover prone then people think.
He has play making ability though as seen with his TD throw, which was pretty nice.

You give credit where credit is due...I'm no Niner fan...but Jimmy G is a nice QB. I expected to see him come down to earth after some real film was out there on him. He's no Montana by any stretch...but he's young and can definitely get better.
He went up against a staunch Vikings defense...and they gave him problems. Let's not forget what they say:

Agree...Looked like given time he might be real good, but today when he got heavy pressure he threw some ugly bricks up for grabs...The scrambling TD throw was an exception, that was a terrific throw...On that play I didn't understand why the safety came off the receiver like he did...

Jimmy G might someday play up to that contract, but he's Not there yet.
Yeah, that WAS the Vikings and on the road, so JG deserves some slack.
He really needs to get a handle on his interception ratio. Right now, it’s alarming.
Count me in the crowd that relishes any loss by the Niners, Seahawks, or Cards. So, this was a great opening day for me.
