If we're going by numbers, Kobie Turner was the most impactful Dlineman. They've got the same number of sacks but Turner has more total pressures.
I'd still argue that Verse was the most impactful despite having fewer sacks. He by far leads the team in total pressures and is the best run defender on the DL. He's creating numbers for the other guys.
Kobie is the best run defender on the team. Verse is impactful, but he makes rookie mistakes (he's undisciplined). I actually think Hoecht is the best run defender of our three edges (Verse, Young, and Hoecht) because of how disciplined and savvy he is. He is easily the best edge setter of the three. I expect Verse will be better in the future, but he's still learning.

You're right on the rookie mistakes and being undisciplined...although the lack of discipline has been cleaned up a lot over the 2nd half of the season. And Hoecht for sure is the best edge setter.
That said, Verse is right there now with Turner and Rozeboom in tackles, run stops, and related metrics that measure run defense effectiveness. It's great that he's still learning because that means he should eventually be elite.
The pro bowl is a nice acknowledgement of good play, but in the end, it's the ring that counts. I remember the Rams landing 9-10 players on the pro bowl roster in the 1970's and maybe 1980's but no super bowls. I'd rather have a few players in the pro bowl but feared by other teams in the playoffs.
Also, the teams who lost the NFCCG had their coach as the pro bowl coach so the Rams head coach was a regular in the pro bowl, but again, no rings.
I don't know what other DT have done. But Fiske and Turner didn't even make alternate? And Kyren is 3rd in yards and touchdowns. Not even an alternate? I gotta think its because they know the Rams are going to the Superbowl and they wouldn't be there anyway.
