Cook is currently in a position / situation to succeed. He's in a great passing offense, with one of the best passing QBs that we're likely to see play the game. Cook hasn't dominated to the level that his athleticism and potential, he still seems lacklustre on the field, is as productive as our own Kendricks, however most people seem to want to cut him for the lack of production.
Cook usually has one great game that skews his stats, then becomes Mr Nobody for weeks. Does a couple of good catches, then misses easy ones in the Red Zone.
The success on that play was purely down to Rodgers' own ability. Not the scheme, not Cook, but Rodgers. Randall Cobb said that " the final play was not an actual playcall. Rodgers just told each receiver what to do, like a kid drawing in the dirt." It wasn't the OC, it wasn't the scheme, it was Rodgers.
IMO. If Crosby had missed that 51yd FG, then this thread wouldn't even had been started.
