Looked like a knee to the upper back. But, certainly didn't appear serious.

Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins left Sunday’s game with a back injury. The good news is that his back, as in his spine, is fine. The possible bad news is that he could have an injury to an internal organ.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jenkins is undergoing a battery of tests aimed at ruling out internal organ damage. The current hope is that all tests will be negative (which would be positive), and that Jenkins will be available for the team’s next game.

Jenkins took a knee to the back in the first half of the win over the Lions. He did not return.

The Giants have a quick turnaround; the face the Eagles on Thursday night in Philadelphia.

He talks shi+ about Kroenke and this happens?...Damn. Hope he pulls through.

Never wish injury on anybody but karma seems to have reared her ugly head to say hello to Rabbit.

The Giants better pray JJ gets healthy because Sensabaugh can't even cover his own mother out there.

Report: Janoris Jenkins avoids organ damage

Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins left Sunday’s victory over the Lions after taking a knee to the back and went for tests to determine whether he suffered any organ damage as a result of the blow.

It looks like the results brought good news for Jenkins on that front. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Jenkins should be OK after avoiding an internal injury.

As PFT reported on Sunday night, the hope is that Jenkins won’t miss any games. That could be complicated by how quickly the Giants are going to be back in action, however.

The Giants will be in Philadelphia on Thursday night, which may be too soon for Jenkins to make it back onto the field. They’ll have 10 days before their Week 17 game, although that one might not matter much. The Giants are in strong position for a Wild Card and their chances of winning the division will disappear if the Cowboys beat the Lions next Monday night.

UPDATE 2:56 p.m. ET: Jenkins told Josina Anderson, “I’m good, I’m fine” after the tests on Sunday.
