I don’t know what this means.

But, don’t tell me. I want to try to figure it out on my own.

I like puzzles.

Perfect It’s the school of FU !! I guess I could have been reading it wrong ?. I could get into it,but back in the Day there was the Old #1 sign held up by a index Finger.

You know the 5 fingers & sure you can read in between the lines?? I just point the index finger at the one who is doing the flipping is all,and the ones who think it’s ok ?
Just pointing it out is ok. I’m sure I could have made the puzzle easier on you though if that’s not puzzling enough.

I bet the puzzle gets tougher if he helps you figure it out.:laugh4:

Dang ! You figured it out. Oh that’s Ramballs, sorry giving credit to the wrong poster.
I actually liked my Fathead buddy Clay Matthews & how he started the 2025 Draft off in Green Bay !

Da Bears ! I leave it at that.He filled in the blanks.

Rams have one clear hole left and a familiar face makes sense

The Rams are quietly in the market for cornerback help, and all signs point toward a familiar face in Miami: Jalen Ramsey.

The Los Angeles Rams are no strangers to splashy moves, and with the offseason winding down, the team might call for one more addition – specifically on defense. While they've made solid progress retooling their roster around quarterback Matthew Stafford and a budding offensive core, there’s still a glaring need at cornerback.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton laid it out clearly in his recent story where he picked one move every team should make this offseason. For the Rams, his call was straightforward: trade for Miami Dolphins All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey. And it’s not just an opinion, it’s a move that might already be brewing behind the scenes.

The Rams need a boost at cornerback. In 2024, Cobie Durant had a solid showing in 15 games (14 starts), allowing a 71.2 passer rating in coverage. Still, Los Angeles can find an upgrade over 32-year-old Darious Williams, who allowed a 101.7 passer rating in coverage last year. Having played with the Rams between 2019 and 2022, Ramsey is familiar with the coaching staff, and he's still a high-level starter.

Sean McVay knows it, confirming the Rams are interested in acquiring Ramsey.
When asked by SiriusXM’s Adam Schein whether the team was considering a reunion with the Dolphins star, McVay didn’t shy away: “Those conversations are ongoing.” Translation? The wheels may already be in motion.

Ramsey’s fit makes too much sense. He’s not just a former All-Pro, he’s their former All-Pro. His prior stint in L.A. from 2019 to 2022 helped anchor a Super Bowl-winning defense. He knows the system, the staff, and, most of all, the standard.

Cobie Durant showed promise last season, and there’s optimism around his growth. But Darious Williams, now 32, showed signs of regression, surrendering a 101.7 passer rating in coverage. The front office also opted not to take a corner in April's draft. For a team with playoff expectations and a top-heavy NFC, waiting to patch up the back end could be costly.
Ramsey isn’t just a luxury; he’s insurance. He’s swagger. He’s the missing piece to a secondary that could quickly elevate from serviceable to dangerous. Rams DB Quentin Lake is confident that the team would be a "tough team to beat” with the re-addition of the former 2016 first-round pick.
The Rams have made a habit of zigging when others zag. If they want to stay in the thick of the NFC race, trading for Ramsey isn’t just logical, it’s necessary.

I’m less worried about giving up a R4/R5 pick than I am about the cap hit. I want the Rams to have some cap space to maneuver around as needed. I’m lazy. Can someone lay out the cap hit this year and overall cap hit that would come with a post June 1 trade?

If we were to add him for example I wouldn't play him outside the hash. I'd stick him in the slot and let him neutralize with his physicality and instincts, and have him supplement the run defense.
Yes Ramsey would be better at the slot, but Lake can't play outside cb
so I think we would have no choice than to put Ramsey outside.
I have a hard time believing he wouldn't be a upgrade over Witherspoon.
Spoon is 30 so no spring chicken.
Even if Spoon and Ramsey were coverage equals, Spoon is no where near as
good at busting up screens and stopping RB's in their tracks. JMO

Passer rating allowed Ramsey- 93.1 Spoon 103.1

Just to be fair to conversation
I fully acknowledge not watching Ramsey last couple of years.
You may have watched him play more.

Same.
Let him get waived - then we can talk bringing him in. I don’t want that contract - even if it’s for an 8th round pick.

His contract pays about $21m per year. How much would the Dolphins need to eat to make it worth it? If they paid enough to bring him to $15m per year would that be worth it? What's the number?

One year $12m with incentives up to $15m.

Folks need to read what has been written over and over in this thread.
Ramsey in '25 is due approx 21 mil guaranteed with 2-3 mill of escalators in his deal.
He's under contract from '26-'28 at roughly 25 mill per, none of which is guaranteed
Miami takes a 29 mill+ cap hit once he's traded June 1 or later, 10.7 in '25 and 18.4 in '26
No way Miami is going to eat 9 mill of that '25 pay unless they were getting incredible compensation, say a 1st round pick
The less Miami has to eat, the more fair the compensation
My guess is they'll eat 5 mill and take a 3rd-4th round pick
Team who gets him pays him 16-17 mill guaranteed with 2-3 mill of escalators
THEN after the season they can re-negotiate Ramsey's deal

I wasn’t referring to a trade.

Ramsey is not the missing piece for a SB run. He’s no longer a great CB, blows coverages regularly and is always pointing fingers at someone else.

Fuck no to that contract, maybe ok if he moved to safety but do the Rams need him there?

Agreed, not really sure what others are seeing. He was rated 39th among CB's in the NFL last year. He's not worth what Miami is paying him and everyone knows it which is why no one took the bait and why he'll be cut next month. He'll probably get a vet minimum or some desperate team will overpay for him. I don't expect the Rams to overpay for a player they know very well.

He wont be cut.
They'll find a trade partner
His cap hit is way too massive if they cut him.

Ramsey's cap hit will total over 100 million the next 4 years if someone picks up his contract. I'm not seeing anyone willing to take that on. And giving up draft capital with that. Miami might have to absorb a portion of that. And maybe accept a late day 3 pick too.

Strange that they seem so intent on moving him. They didn't even try the "he wants out but we don't have any intention" thing like must orgs do.
