I don't see any surefire HOF there other than Troy & possibly Tony.

All were great players but I think this is the year Ike gets in

Bruce and Holt deserve to go in together this year. It just makes sense, you know?

And Steven Jackson, when he's eligible, should get in as well. Call me biased, but the guy was my favorite all-time Ram for a reason.

Putting in Wayne over Bruce should be considered a crime punishable by prison time.

Absolutely BRUCE should get into the hall over any on that list. Holt should be in there too but Bruce should be there first if only one of them can get in.

The previous snubs of Bruce reek.

Which proves why fans don't vote. Bruce had one of the best receiving years in 1995, only overshadowed by Rice's year that year. I respect Wayne, and I think he should get in next year, but Bruce and Holt were amongst the best receivers of their respective times.

A valid take if fans were polled.

But, the voting is done by media members whose job it is to provide news and opinions on the sport that they cover and whose exposure to live games, practices, training camps and the like gives many of them a deeper understanding.

A deeper understanding that would look beyond the superficial or popular.

It seems that you may be hinting at the fading of Bruce and Holt, who suffered years of interminable losses, at least in the mind of the fan.

I understand your point flv but I agree with Memento's and Ramlock's takes about Fans opinions. As fans we are all bias for our favorite players on favorite teams (me included).

Even though Bruce was in smaller market and on quite a few losing teams, objectively speaking Bruce's' Numbers should put him in the hall of fame over Wayne and others that had gone before him.

I actually like Wayne and think he deserves to get in at some point but not ahead of Bruce whose numbers are better than Wayne's.

Bruce is 5th in all-time receiving yards with 15,208 - Wayne is 10th with 14,345
Bruce has higher YD/REC at 14.9 - Wayne sits at 13.4 YD/REC
Bruce has 91 receiving TD's 12th all time - Wayne has 81 and is tied for 25th.
