If Goff had played well in that Super Bowl, that likely means he figured out how to overcome the biggest weakness in his game and he likely would still be a Ram because he learned how not to cave under the inside pass rush pressure.

You are forgetting about the fumbles. Every time he got touched in the backfield, the ball was on the ground those two years. They don't show up in the passer rating, but they certainly do effect the outcome of the games.

It actually DOES matter when he lost 9 fumbles in those two seasons.
His total turnovers were almost as many as his TDs that he threw.
A pocket QB needs to throw twice as many TDs as INTs to be effective, but those two years he only threw 20 and 22 TDs. Not good enough.
I do agree about the killer instinct part.

I’m rather enjoying it. I let myself forget just how bad Goff was in 2019 and 2020. It’s a reminder of how much better off we are as Rams fans with Stafford. Plus it gives me new hope that the Rams pass rush will bring old Goff back, the next time they play.

I will say if the new Detroit center plays like Blythe - Goff will be in big trouble.

Center is the most important position for Goff imho. When we got rid of Sullivan, it was the beginning of the end for Goff. Allen was better than Blythe before he got hurt in 2019 and Goff was playing well in those games. Then Blythe took over - and sayonara Goff.

I’d say that what caused him to have so many turnovers is also what caused him to not score many points. They go hand in hand.

That's a silly statement. He went from 30 td passes per season to 21 while his turnovers went from 14 per season to 19
TD's down 9, turnovers up 5. Pretty far stretch to assume each of the 5 "increased" turnovers cost a score, even if they did it still leaves a delta of 4 scores.
Again, averaging a turnover a game isnt a killer for a QB, Josh Allen does it every year. Not scoring TD's is a killer and that's why they rightly so moved on
