Listening to Sirius NFL Radio and he believes that the player a team gets at #12-15 overall is the same player (rating wise) a team can get at #50 overall.

I've heard that about this draft. Several teams have stated they only feel like there's about 10-12 true first rounders but there is good depth for solid picks.

Which is why I wouldn't mind trading down. Unless some miracle happens and Cooper/White are still on the board. Which I'm giving a 12% chance of actually happening. Trade down between 15-20, collect an extra 2nd or 3rd.

Depends on the draft, and the position.

I can't tell if we should trade down and stockpile second round players or stay put and draft one of the only real first round players in the draft. Probably the latter, I guess.

If there is a really elite player available at ten that fits a need I would prefer the Rams pick that guy. If there is not someone available at ten then I hope for a trade back, maybe two. An extra second rounder or two would be great for this draft.

agree bpa might be a wr...and a need

think I'd rather try to trade up for one of the 1st rd talent but the draft will be fun to watch

Winston, Mariota, Cooper, White, Beasley, Fowler, Williams.....I think these are the only 7 guys that I would take at 10 and be completely fine with it. Anyone else, I'm trying to trade down and collect picks.

He was referring to this year's draft class.
I wouldn't agree with his statement if he meant it that way. At particular positions, this year, or every year, I would agree. If I look at it as starting caliber players in general, it's still a stretch.

Would you agree with his statement?

Off the top of my head, minus Gurley's knee injury, perhaps forcing him to be selected lower than he probably would be normally, I believe that I agree with Brandt.

I'd agree talking OL, or CB.

OK Memphis, we have a trade. you give me your #15 and #16, and I'll give you my #50 and #51.

If this is true why the hell would any team allow us to trade down if all the players are the same? Hopefully we get a team that gets puppy dog eyes for someone! lol

OK. I'd do it. Going by the draft value chart, that trade could also net me a 2016 1st rounder and an extra 3rd rounder this year. The Rams would be set to get their potential franchise QB in 2016 with all that firepower.

A team might allow us to trade down because they want a blue chip player and past 12 in the draft, they're not gonna get one. Now, the question I ask myself is, is it worth trading down from 10 and missing a blue chip player to gain extra picks for positions of need....

it all depends on who is available and if they fit the Rams scheme. It also depends on what is being offered up in trade compensation.

Now that is a very interesting question that will be answered very soon!<3 it!

How many blue chip players do we think are really in this draft and who are they?

Winson, Mariota
Cooper, White
Williams
Fowler, Beasley

_____________

what about Shelton? Armstead? Dupree? Ray? Parker? Gregory? Gurley? Any of the lineman?

It seems to me our best hope of trading down is if the clear BPA is a defensive lineman and some needy team comes calling.

It's what I call materially true, because a lot of teams will reach for need
