Glad to read that as it would be cool to see Roger finish in horns with multiple Super Bowls under his belt. What a story that would be too given the way his career started with all those poor Rams teams.

That said it does not mean he is talkin home team discount. He will be by far the most prized lineman on next year's market.

@Merlin why are you trying to dash my hopes to pieces?:hatin:

Multiple reasons why it would be good to sign Saffold for a couple of 3 years.
An All Pro.
Consummate team player.
Has been relatively injury-free lately.
No reason to think he won't be a superior guard for at least a couple years.
A teacher on the field and knows McVay's offense.
Continuity on the line breeds confidence.
He deserves it.
And now we know he's not greedy.

After seeing/hearing the guy on Hard Knocks and in other clips and interviews... Saffold just seems like a good dude. Hope he retires a Ram. Yes, I give him shit for having some kind of strange injury every other game... but he's been fairly durable of late and he's a hell of a team player.

Even when injured Saffold always said he would out play his contract. It hasn’t been an easy go for him.

Roger was a Raider for a few minutes.

If the Rams make the playoffs, and especially if they go deep in the playoffs, getting guys like Saffold and Suh resigned will be a lot easier.

They want rings.

Not always true . There is only show much money to go around.

Every player wants that second big contract.
Totally understandable.

And the Raiders screwed up because these were his best years.

One very smart OL'er!

After playing for some of the worse offenses in NFL history since he came into the NFL.....& cursed with playing & starting with these great OL'ers like LT GRob, OT Jason Smith, Adam Goldberg, Tony Wragge, Wayne Hunter, Quinn Ojinnaka, Davin Joseph, Shelly Smith, Chris Williams, Scott Wells, Cody Wichmann, Tim Barnes.....?

You think he would have issues with Sean McVay, Aaron Kromer & Shane Waldron? Plus you know he would love working out with Ted Rath. In addition he gets to play & work with professionals like Whitworth & Sullivan along with Havenstein, Brown & Blythe. Finally do you think he is happy with the new rookie cadre of OL'er that Snead has brought in?
