The Rams are beating the cheating pants off the Pats this Sunday. ...but... if the football Gods are somehow not on our side, there is one way for the Rams to lose that would be far better than any other way.

Imagine if we lost the Super Bowl on a bad call and the franchise handled it with some class and some good humor - like a confident team that knows that 1 play didn't decide the outcome, that we are a young and extremely talented team who will be back multiple times with Goff and McVay leading the way.

Like I said, we are beating the Pats and winning McVays 1st SB...
...but if we don't, I would love it if our team and fans showed the Saints how to handle it like adults, not like the whiney bitchfest of assumed entitlement that the Saints have displayed from the ownership to the fans.

I would hate the game to end on a call that gives me even more reason to question the validity of the NFL.

Call the game fairly on both sides of the ball. The Saints didn't have a penalty until the middle of the third quarter. I don't want to see some unrealistic shenanigans like that again.

I also don't want to see the game hinge on a lame roughing the prissy little passer, Brady, like it did for the Chiefs.

@badnews you know very well McVay would say in a post game presser:

"First off congratulations to Coach Bellicheat and the New England Patriots they are a heck of a football team. I need to be accountable to my team and put us in a better position to win the game. We had our opportunities, and I didn't make the correct play calls to put us in a position to be World Champions. It's something I can and will improve upon.

We did not lose because of one call, there were other deciding factors that led to our loss. Sometimes non calls and calls are in our favor. Sometimes they're not. Referees are human and make errors, we cannot put our team in a position to depend on the referees judgment to determine the game."

Did I miss anything?

While I'd like to think the Rams fan base would handle a bad call with class, I understand that Rams on Demand is just a small piece of Rams fans everywhere.

I'm fairly certain that those fans who would not be so classy would dominate the classy ones.

Not to worry, though... we ain't losing! (y)

I'm not thinking about the Rams losing. I'm hoping for a fair officiated game and no NE cheating.

I still don't get why bad calls late (under 2 minutes) are valued more than early bad calls. I didn't react/post much in the Saints threads. I think the Rams and McVay will continue to show the class they have in the recent past. Let's hope Donald , Peters and company can stay under control for the entire game. No stupid penalties. Let's see how the Game Day Thread plays out.

Losing to them the first time due to cheating and the losing another one on a bad call? No way.

The only bad call I want to see is one that allows them to get a trash touch down when the Rams are leading 33 to 7 with 48 seconds left to play.

All I am saying is if we dont win and get a bad call, I hope we show the Saints how its done.

A sincere thanks to @nighttrain for being cool and understanding what I am saying.

Funny how optimistic everyone
is before the GDT... wish we could keep that way into the 2nd qtr

Why even give them a TD in your fantasy version?

My version has us winning 69 to zip!

Just no.

I covered my bases quite clearly.
No superstition or hocus pocus or bad juju here...

Just no?
As opposed to being blown out?
As opposed to losing a heartbreaker because of a dumb mistake?

I stand by it.

But you know Saints fans wouldn't care how classy we were in a loss, they would be exulting about karma.

I want us to win based on player execution, scheme and winning each play.

I don’t want the refs determining the winner one way or another.

.

If the rams do lose i hope they don't do something stupid to give the cheats the game.

The seafucks and falcons somehow lost when a win was at their fingertips. The cheats, and Brady specifically, have won too many superbowls on dumb luck where the other team refuses to win. I'm talking about play-off games leading up to the superbowl as well.
