Here's Pils overlooking the river that feeds into the south-western end of Loch Ness.

Pils stopped for coffee and to take in the views of the Great Glen. We were in Fort Augustus which is at the south end of the Loch, about 35 miles from the city of Inverness.

Pils helping a few tourists take their boats through the locks of the Caledonian Canal. The Canal links the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Scotland to the North Sea in the north east. Built in the 19th century to facilitate trade throughout the country using the Loch as a natural thoroughfare, it was quickly obsolete due to the increasing size of ships which were soon too big for it, and improvements in road transport and railways. Today it's mostly used by pleasure craft.

Pils at the Southern shore of Loch Ness. The loch is 26 miles long and sits in the middle of the Great Glen. The Glen was formed by an enormous glacier millions of years ago. No sightings of Nessie today!
