Well, Hampton seems like a safer pick but we might have to take him in round 1.
Yeah taking RB early is definitely not something I prefer. It would be something I get if they go that route. But even though I respect Hampton's game a great deal I'd rather have Martinez later.

I’m telling you the non sexy OT pick at 26 is the pick. Big Rob age is a major factor and we have zero OT they can play meaningful snaps for us.
I also think the first 3 picks will be all on the Offense side of the ball. Adding explosiveness is something we need. Least we forget what McVay said he wants to be more flexible in what he can do.
We need to be able to stress out the D coordinator and let Stafford eat.

Other option I wonder about is will the Rams trade down multiple times to gain a handful of picks in Rds 2-4, so we can add a bunch of good mid rd talent. With a bunch of mid rd picks in 2025 the thought process of planning to use future picks in 2026 & beyond to get the next Rams QB.
Like give up 5-1st 2-2nds etc to get A. Manning food for thought

Adding explosiveness to the offense would require top 100 picks. So IMO the Rams would need to use R1.26 and R3.90 on WR/TE/RB or trade down to get more top 100 picks for other positions like OT/CB.

I agree and unless theirs a true day 1 starter they love it’s a forgone conclusion Snead will be trading down.

I hope they draft an OT, gotta insure Stafford can have 2-2 secs to shred the Def and keep upright and clean
Thats it. Its amazing how explosive the Rams offense can be if the o-line can pass pro a couple extra seconds or bust open a gap a tractor trailer can run thru
Making the offense more explosive doesn't necessarily mean adding a WR/RB with 4.3 speed, or that shifty TE who is a mismatch nightmare. Not that I would mind adding that

I'll be available for the first day of the draft, but I'll be in Cleveland for the next three days after that (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) for a boccia tournament. Might not be available to talk (I definitely won't on Saturday; that's the start of the tournament.), but I'll be here in spirit. :D

An OT would likely be for next year while providing better quality depth this year.

Hav missed 9 games in the last 2 years, and aint getting any younger. Who knows, if the right guy fell to them, Hav could end up being the quality depth

I still can't help but think of this routine when people talk about watching the draft. No offense - just really funny.

IDK I love Bill Burr but on this one like his NFL takes I’d love to tease and BS with him about his lame ass Patriots cheating!

Anyway about the draft, you’ll see the whole list the next day? I could say the same about why watch a game? You see who won and did what the next day to. Same shit. Guess I just want to debate his ass to hear his wild retort! lol

I Agree with the need to have quality depth this year and need to pursue a RT succession plan asap.
With that said - Nacua, Adams and KWill will move the sticks, however, the Rams currently have 0 explosive weapons on offense. Atwell is fast but (so far) he can’t be classified as explosive. If they want to turn the corner on being explosive this year the Rams will have to add 2 weapons in this years draft.

And how many minutes between plays are there in games? I wasn’t aware of anyone winning on draft day. Does that really happen?

I can see why it’s interesting to some. And there are parts that interest me. But I don’t think your game analogy holds water. No one wins or loses until the picks pan out or don’t.

I’m not saying I agree with Bill Burr on it either. I just think it’s a funny piece.

Henderson's the kind of dude who rises in this time of year I think. Great athlete. You get your underwear olympics and the film sort of fades from the mind a bit.

He's one of the guys I would watch them just to get a look at him, as I think he's got everything you want. But it just seemed like he'd disappear too much, either from being hurt or just disappear in the game.

So idk about him. Feels like a risky pick to me, though he could end up one of the best players from the draft. Boom or bust to my eye for sure. If McVay and Snead take a shot on him I'll just cross my fingers.
some people have him sneaking into 1st round

I think the point of the draft is that everyone wins on draft day. It's a moment where all the copium comes together and each fan base for just a few brief moments believes they had the best draft, the most perfect draft for their team and the draft fell just right for them. It's moment of fantasy where everyone's a winner.

Well, I did ask for something. Anything. Careful what I wish for.

So would you say the Chiefs trading a 1st and 3rd rd. picks in 2017 and their 1st rd. selection in 2018 to move up from the 27 to pick 10 to select Patrick Mahomes that they studied, visited with , and knew he would fit their system? Would you say that trade has led to any wins for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2018?

Games are won and lost in the season in FA and the Draft for years to come, just like part of the Sun Tzu proverb "In peace Prepare for War, In War prepare for peace." The job of the FO, specifically the scouting and talent departments is never ending. Is all season.

Those picks that you state "no one wins or loses until the picks pan out" are still because of work put into FA and the draft from work put in the previous season and the current off season.
