Nothing to do with it in my opinion! Glad to have Rams back in So Cal as a former Anaheim season ticket holder. But, Rams have been good in So Cal and bad in So Cal.

It has everything to do with it. There would still be no urgency. Probably still have Fisher. Would have never made the moves last year or this year. It would have been all about the draft and next year.

Influence.
Building a mega stadium in the #2 market in the US directly leads to more pressure to win. Which leads to an ownership and team front office less likely to listen to Fisher's BS on how he can't get the offense fixed. Which leads to them hitting the lottery on hiring McVay and what looks like hopefully a decade of prominence.

I dont think moving had anything to do with the turn around. McVay would have made the same moves if the Rams were still in St.Louis. If the turn around was soley due to being in LA, 2016 would have gone much different and Fisher might still be coaching the Rams. So I will stick with coaching and scouting as the main reasons behind the turn around.

Maybe Fisher was kept a year longer because of the move and his experience.

Who knows what would have happened as everything can change when you change one factor in the time line.
It's all about timing to get McVay. The timing was all near perfect. McVay, Phillips, Whitworth, Woods and Sullivan created a near perfect storm. Followed by a solid draft.....
In the end it really doesn't matter as we can't go back and change any of it.

I forget. Does one season make a turn around? Though I really like what I'm seeing, consistently in the hunt for a SB will be my definition of a turn around.
That being said, I think it is impossible to really know unless you get to pick the brain of our owner, players, and coaches. Would Stan make the same moves if he knew he was going to play in a stadium where he wouldn't have control over revenue streams? Did the glitz and glamour of LA draw in a young rising star of a coach in McVay? Did the same lure some of our FAs? How many FAs have we lost because of the horrendous CA income tax? Would a guy like Donald rather play closer to home and therefore cost more to sign in LA? I get the feeling he would as he trains at home.
All in all I'd say it was a money move and in order to max money, you gotta win. That will be the biggest push toward a turn around rather than any geographical concerns.

Lol the guys still gotta play and the coaches still gotta coach at the end of the day it don’t matter if it’s LA or GreenBay if you have talent and coaches who understand how to score points that’s the result you get.

I think (and thought back then) that Kroenke wanted Fisher to stay through the move because he did it before when moving the Oilers to Tennessee. If St Louis had won out and they built the riverfront stadium, I think Fisher might have been fired a year earlier than he was, which probably means a retread coach would have replaced Fish, most likely and McVay wouldn't have been quite ready for Prime Time. McVay would probably have become the Raiders HC last year, and the Rams might have fired Snead as well. Hard to know....
