Limmer playing next to a great guard on the L (finally!!) will be nice to see. He already has 1 on the R which I'm sure has greatly helped him.

Jonah I am curious about how well he can bounce back... if he looks good I'm very happy and just want these 2 long time IR guards to leave the stupid injuries behind them. Avila looked like freaking superman his rookie year and all of a sudden he's human, gtfo.

I do NOT accept several of our OL being on IR as "injuries happen." It is happening too damn much.

Limmer will no doubt look all-pro with either Avila or J.Jax on his left.
Problem is: who comes out when BOTH Avila & J.Jax are healthy?? you've got a great up&coming LG in Avila, and a high-priced LG in J.Jax. How do you determine who plays?? or do you just make Limmer ride the bench & plug J.Jax in there? playing C is completely different from LG. Limmer has made it his bread & butter, but J.Jax? we already know Avila isn't going to play C.
I guess we'll find out. Maybe sub J.Jax in for Limmer in some packages, so we see how rusty he is or isn't? maybe on some obvious run downs?

Noteboom was not active and in-uniform on Sunday against Seattle.
Let me guess, he was injured.

We should have a new betting line on no boom.
Over/under on how many snaps until he's injured again.
I'm going with seven snaps

Yes. Been on IR since early in the season. Started his 21-day-window to practice a couple weeks ago but was not yet activated-off-IR. McVay said he would be activated this week and be in-uniform against the Dolphins on Monday Night. With Havenstein out, it will either be Mclendon or Noteboom at RT.

It's a good problem to have too many qualified players but it's also a costly problem if you play the wrong guys. And an expensive problem if you have to end up sitting the guy you just gave the massive contract for a 6th round rookie.

Sorry, but I see an Oline that is still struggling. Jonah has a history of being a violent dominating guard who came into the league as a center. He has experience that Limmer doesn't have. He definitely plays over either of the 2 rookies. Have we seen the domination we expected from our Oline while we wait for our starters? No. I hope Avila can play as well.

He also has a track record of being injured. I don’t want to fuck with the continuity of the offensive line
I don't feel that the OL played particularly well on Sunday. Stafford seemed under a lot of pressure. I'm looking forward to upgrading LG for sure and potentially the C spot. Limmer is doing well but he's still subpar in pass protection.

Time to move on with Warren McClendon.

I’m fine with having Boom and Jackson on the roster, but just as depth players. They can’t be depended on to string together any significant games.

Limmer earned the starting position.
I have no problem with Jonah Jackson because at least he is skilled when he can play but why the hell would you re-sign no boom to a second contract even at vet minimum when you could be developing depth players.

If both return this week the best way to proceed is play the better option at LG, which I presume is Avila but it could be Jackson depending on how healthy and smooth each of them are in practice. The other one starts working at Center or whatever. Then I'd start Limmer because I wouldn't want to disrupt the calls and flow of the line. And if and when that other Center starts outperforming Limmer in practice you switch it up.

I do think Avila at Center has been scrapped. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my read on it.

So Jackson at some point might retake that Center spot but I don't think there is a hurry on that when Limmer has been holding it down. Main thing is you don't shoehorn Jackson in there if he's not fully ready and in command of shit. But I am sure the Rams have a good plan on this.

Sound plan. Upgrading LG is the highest priority.
