This is surprising because Minus Tate and Harvin the Shehawks are thin on talent at WR.

I cannot imagine they get a first in return.
 
Funny because they're talking about Harvin's prospects vs STL on ESPN right now...as the ticker goes accross the screen.
 
Well, they probably would have to get rid of him after this season anyway to pay their incoming contracts, so it makes sense to get what you can out of him now.

His contract was an albatross from the beginning, and if you expected them to ride it out, you're crazy.

Are the Seahawks stupid? He was their most dangerous weapon. He had 3 touchdowns called back against the Redskins showing that he's a hell of a player and teams have to account for him every play and that opens up everything else. And they only got a mid round pick for him. Contract or not, he's too good of a player and getting rid of the contract is not worth the risk of messing your offense up over.

On the bright side, I am so glad we don't have to face him now.

Wow wtf. Guess since they couldn't out to use him beyond some screens they got rid of him.

Lol that is crazy. So now they just have wilson and lynch in offense.
 
The New York Jets haven't given up on their season just yet.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Gang Green has acquired wide receiver Percy Harvin from the Seahawks in exchange for a conditional mid-round draft pick, according to a source informed of the situation. FOX Sports.com's Jay Glazer first reported that the teams had agreed to the swap.
It's a stunning transaction for both squads.

Seattle spent much of the offseason tweaking its playbook to make the most of Harvin's unique gifts as a pass-catcher and weapon out of the backfield. His campaign has been underwhelming, though, with half of Harvin's 22 grabs coming behind the line of scrimmage. His six yards per haul marks the lowest average of any NFL wideout with at least five catches.

Still, Harvin brings a serious jolt of talent to New York's offense, draping the attack with a proven playmaker across from wide receiver Eric Decker. After the Seahawks swapped a first-rounder and two later-round picks to Minnesota before last season for the rights to the former Viking, it's surprising to see how little they got in return from New York.
