as a life long Rush fan, I call with the Geddy Lee choice

also call the Bruce Dickinson choice

but have to raise every one a Ronnie James Dio

Dio was great for sure….and a nice guy. Its funny to listen to some super old stuff (Ronnie and the Redcaps…..I believe was the name of his high school group), a little rough, but, he was a young guy then. Can hear the talent even then.

I used to really like Steve Perry when I was in high school. Him and Steven Tyler.
Both can really, really sing.

Yeah classic rock vocals at their best. You posted Timmy Tim….ever hear him on Stern. He was a signficantly strange guy.

When I first saw it I almost didn't recognize him. He looks like hell. It could be a stroke but I think he may have spent all his money on booze or something.

I saw him play a free concert back in the 80's on Daytona Beach when Daytona was still the Spring Break Capital and MTV spent the week televising everything from there. Money looked exactly the same then.

I can see that concert already

Two tickets to paradise

Thank you.. Goodnight

Guys.....I love Rush and they are all over my iPod. But Geddy can't sing for shit. It fits with the music but he is nothing special. Love him, love the band, but he's no vocalist.

Scrolling through the iPod and I found an all time gem.

Smokey Robinson.......Tears of a Clown. I haven't heard it for a few years. Wow.

Step away from your adult contemporary and get back on topic with Rock Singers.

Dude it's a classic.......not rock per se but I'm eclectic alrighty?

Chris Cornell - Audioslave - Show me how to live At the end when he hatchets his throat with his hand it makes my throat hurt just thinking about it.

Klaus Meine and Ronnie James Dio?

Geoff Tate

Queenryche

Silentt Lucidity

Nearly anything by Bruce Dickinson. Amazing voice, power, range has it all. Gets better live as he ages as well. Was better the last time I saw him live (2011) than he was back in the 80s.

As my avatar suggests, I'm a huge Maiden fan. They're quite simply (in my view) the greatest band ever.

I also like Bon Scott's voice. It fit AC/DC's sound at the time perfectly.

Love them as well. My favorite live band, see them any chance that comes my way….a total of 10 or 11 times including getting up on stage several years ago during Heaven Can Wait in Houston. Also got to take a couple of drum lessons from Nicko when I was in high school, super nice guy. A lot of Dickinsons solo stuff is good as well. The whole Chemical Wedding album is a vocal powerhouse.

Last time I saw them was in July 2011 on the final frontier tour with the enormous Eddie that rose up from the behind the stage. Brilliant.
