This is an excellent clip as Eisen points out the East Coast bias and Goff being almost two years younger than Wentz. I debated with many posters on this site like @jrry32 for example, that the age was not a big deal, but now it's nice having the younger guy.
Everyone knows on this board that I was not on board with Goff from the outset and the show Hard Knocks did nothing to dispel my trepidation, however, many posters believed in Goff and hats off to all of them.

I was pro Goff the entire time. But....Than again I was also sold on Sam Bradford being the next Tom Brady...been wrong before will be wrong again. For now, Let’s just enjoy our top 5 qb, yup you read that right.
(just give everyone else till the end of the season to realize it)

I wanted to see Jared grow into an elite QB this season. His coming out party will last all season long.

He now has the weapons around him and a strong OL which any good QB needs. So lets just sit back and watch the show.

There was no reason to not believe in Bradford.
Coming out of college he had injury concerns.
Bradford has elite skills, but, he has been totally been betrayed by his body.

I was hoping for Wentz before the draft. Then I jumped on board the Goff train when drafted. I jumped off the train at end of 2016 season. Goff looked like a deer in head lights with no chance of ever being a leader...my opinion at that time.
I'm a longer term Rams fan since mid to late '70s. Family were season ticket holders all years at Anaheim. Been abused by people many times over the years for being a fan. I even got trash canned over it by my employess back when I managed a lumber yard in my late teens.
The GSOT was beyond great, but it seems so long ago and didn't last. When my high hopes for Goff and the Rams were dashed after 2016, I felt deflated. And, then the Rams hired the little kid as head coach. Man, I vanished the whole off season after 2016. It was depression.
I heard some things, like the hiring of Wade, the Whitworth signing, Woods signed, but didn't really care..still had depression.
However, once a Rams fan, "Always a Rams Fan!" (Anyone remember those bumber stickers back in the '80s?). Just before training camp I jumped back in.
During preseason I was like "hmmm, they look pretty good; Goff looks good."
Then the Colts season opener. I was like who is this guy Goff? He looks composed, in charge, and was firing away, downfield and all...wow!
To end this long rambling crap, I began to believe in Goff, and now I think I'd die without him!
I'm sure many here on ROD had the same ups and downs as I have felt the last couple years. Anyway, that's all in the past and I thank God for this current Rams team!

I was for Goff over Wentz. It was his footwork. He looked smooth even taking a few step back from the short shotgun. He also looked smooth moving around too. His good footwork lead to better passing accuracy over Wentz. Goff had the better long ball by a lot. I get to watch both which is fun. Wentz has gotten better with accuracy. He adds the running dimension and is hard to bring down. He also gets hurt. Goff has become a sharpshooter that makes throws most QB can't make. Both are very good but a little different. Glad the Rams made the right choice.
