I am not able to watch the Rams game tonight but it sounds like the Rams DE Gerald Rivers is having a pretty good game. Will he make the Rams final roster? And, how about Cody Davis (Does he have a chance?)

My guess is both of them make the final 53.

I would think Rivers makes it. Cody's been kinda quiet, whereas Matt "the hat" Daniels has been having a great game. I don't know if he makes the roster. Good kid, but not really separating himself.

Gerald Rivers is playing like a beast! He's making tackles behind the line of scrimmage even after he gets double teamed.

Rivers got.in the game with the starters, I can't remember if it was against Denver or green bay but he looked good with those few reps and made a play or two in the backfield. No way he makes it to the ps. He should be on the 53

I think Daniels makes it more for special teams history than anything. Kid can hit though!

Cody is most in danger of not making it of all the players aforementioned in this thread, but I still have him as making it.

Rivers being a DLinemen i think he makes Fishers team, and he's earned it. I think Daniels has the edge on C.Davis.

Ray Ray is a no brainer. Great finds by Les Snead.

Rivers, doesn't make it because of need, he is just TOO GOOD to not make it, IMO, which has been my opinion since game 2. He has some special ability, as does Ray-Ray.

There's no way Rivers gets cut. The guy looked far superior to his competition tonight, and pretty much all preseason he's been one of the standouts.

Agreed, but my point was that a fringe defensive lineman makes a Jeff fisher squad over a fringe player of any other position...because its a Fisher team. No where else on this team is depth better than DLine anyway, but that won't stop Fisher from keeping him.

Then, I guess that I agree and disagree, because Rivers is just clearly, to me at least, has been, clearly one of the best 53, Fisher or not.

They will find a roll for Rivers even if he has to move inside at times. Cody Davis could well be sent to the PS because of it. Ray Ray is a keeper but they will have to put a muzzle on that cat.

In the booth last night Snead said they are going to go with the best 53 regardless of position. Said it again when pressed about it from a different angle.

I think Rivers, Cody, Ray Ray, Cunningham (course we knew that already) and McLeod make the 53. I'm not sure about Daniels. I saw some good plays and some bad ones from him.

My man Veltung looked good running back punts but I'm not sure that's going to be enough. Targeted 3 times with no receptions. I couldn't tell whose fault they were because the camera work in this game was atrocious! Rarely did the show a replay from the right angle. Actually they rarely showed a replay from any angle. Really bad. I also wish Faulk and Holt would stop talking during the action.

Glad to hear all the good reports on Rivers, I figured sending him to the autograph tent was kind of a gimme

Rivers reminded me of Leonard Little at times... Just a bit slimmer version, He's a keeper.

I don't think Ray Ray was a find. I remember reading several reports having him as the #1 UFA. The Rams were able to sell...well...the rams to the guy. That shows the respect commanded by our FO.

That and the fact that he probably knew he had a great chance to win a spot on our team considering our situation at LB.
