I heard an interesting rumor this week regarding the Lance/Jimmy G situation. It was said that Shanny was already ready for Jimmy to start, and thinks it's necessary for them to win. But benching Lance for Jimmy in the first half of the season would completely destroy any confidence Lance had and pretty much admit defeat with the pick signaling he's a bust. So instead of benching him, Shannahan would ramp up the QB running calls in an "effort" to expose Lance to injury or at least increase the probability of him getting injured. That way bringing in Jimmy G would be justified and they can sit Lance under the guise of him recovering from injury. Pretty sadistic if true but who knows.

Sign Fischer trade for and Edge and maybe another Corbett type trade if possible. You can bring corners all day but better teams will decimate you .....we need help on the rush you can get a above average lineman for nothing but money (unless he doesn't want LA) and maybe pull a rabbit like Corbett out. That's what I feel would help us most

Green sounds like it may have merit, the red sounds like embellished fan speak at best
 
I have the Raiders/Cards on the TV. 49ers/Seahawks on the phone. Rams/Falcons stream on the laptop. Would be awesome if the damn stream was better. At least its not as bad as an hour and a half ago.
