I think Goff is struggling because the coach has a strangle hold on him and just keeps calling the same plays.
It's clear he does not trust Goff, but McVay is not the one throwing it right Into the defenses arms or fumbling when he gets sacked or fumbles when he tries to throw it away last minute. Alot of his turnovers are on his stupid mistakes.

Hate being negative because I love this team but today feels so bad.

As a Goff fan this is the first time I think I’ve realised he may not be our future QB and with the cap/draft situation we look like years away from the answer.

Being from the UK it’s hard enough going to bed at 12:30 am every Monday morning before work the next day, paying £130 for Gamepass plus a Sky subscription to watch games like tonight just to see us completely shit the bed.

The 4 straight runs from the 1 yard line was a pretty damning indictment of McVay’s opinion of Goff.

I wish Goff could block at the goaline so we could actually score after he moves us down the field.

Higbee and Everett are terrible blockers and Mcvay should never call that play there.

If you drafted a center you could run it in and win the division.

but blame Goff

Fucking done with this bullshit. Taking years off my life. FUCK WILSON AND FUCK GOFF. FUCKEM!

I'm not sure if we can beat Seattle again.
Even when Goff had any time at all, which wasn't often, Seattle's defense was sitting on our wr's routes.
We desperately need oline help and a deep threat.

We can beat them. I can't guarantee we will, but if the team shows up next week and gets us there, we can beat those guys, especially if we have Andrew Whitworth.

Average number of wins/season under McVay = 10.5
Average number of wins/season over the previous 15 years = 5.9

Every loss sucks, but damn. Let's not lose sight of where we were.

there are other problems for sure - but no one wants to hear this shit anymore.

It's not flying.

I'm not blaming goff for this loss - but seriously I yawned hard when i read this post..

And what's up with the red zone play calling? Every team.... EVERY TEAM.... has a couple of ace plays up their sleeve to throw the defense off at a crucial moment. You've all seen them. Stature of Liberty. Lineman as eligible receiver. Lob to the tight end in the corner. And so on.

McVay has nothing up his sleeve. Nothing. And it's been this way for a couple of years.

Goff's decision making is killing us. McVay isn't making necessary adjustments and continues to disappoint in the red zone. Defense was great. Special teams and offense mainly sucked, outside of Gay, Kupp, and Woods. McVay needs to do some soul searching and make some adjustments heading into the playoffs. We really need Whitworth back.

But at the end of the day, if we beat the Cardinals, we play Seattle again in two weeks. We can beat those guys, especially if Whitworth plays. So let's go beat the Cardinals.
Interesting to see the rookie come in for Havenstein instead of Evans.

Whit would help, but we will definitely need a better game plan.
There is no reason why Seattle's D should have been sitting on our routes. Especially in the second half.

I think we should do whatever we can to get Sam Darnold. 4th round pick. QB competition next year also draft a rookie in the 6th round. Its the ONLY position besides center holding this team back

This is what it is to be a Rams fan, hopes lofted only to be dashed down again. Life is sad enough without being sad over football, I will choose entertainment that doesn't make me sad. I guess that makes me a fair weather fan, I'm not going to stop being a fan but if this team wants me to watch and care they need to be fun to watch.

I wonder if Mcvay is calling conservative plays because he’s trying not to put the offense on Goff?

Seattle just took away the play action boot leg and our offense was toast.

Yep. And without Akers who seems to be the only back who can create from the nothing the OL gives him at times, it's not like we can stick with the run.

And seriously, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH GOFF.

I dunno if he needs to see a sports psychologist or what, but he's just off. And now his hand is hurt.

And at this point, I just don't care. We sent Gurley away because he was done. We sent Cooks away because of his concussion history. But Goff remains.

We may have for the most part replaced Gurley in Akers, but we haven't replaced Cooks so we no longer have a deep threat. Not that it matters because the OL can't hold for shit and Goff can't hit anyone deep.

FUUUUUUUUCK.

Honestly, I'm also ready for this season to be done. Every fucking game, I'm an emotional wreck, confused at shit even a fan can see plainly and ultimately disappointed even when we win b/c it seems our winning is more random than planned.

The D can't hold everyone to 6 points which seems like our threshold on offense. And with both Akers and Hendo down, our run game is shot.

I'll watch next Sunday, but I don't expect much. What sucks is that there won't be anything for Big Whit to return to.

Even if we win by attrition, meaning that the Cards suck worse than us next Sunday, I can't say I'm thrilled about the prospect of going back to Seattle to rewatch this fucking travesty of a game again.
