Didn't see one of these threads yet, and I need ideas. Some of you guys throw down some serious grub as I recall. @Selassie I in particular is a beast on the grill. I made Chili last week, so I want to do something different today. Thinking about a pork loin or maybe some crab cakes. For drinks, its gonna be some RAR Nanticoke Nectars followed by macro beers, because those nectars rock a 7.4 ABV.....

Boring for me this week, hot dogs and wings. I have some Grolsch lager in the fridge so that'll be the drink of choice... with a victory malt too, of course.

Brudda,,, my power was just restored last night. It was out for a whole week.

So... this week I'm just planning on sucking in some serious AC. Too many take that life changing recipe for granted.

Maybe next week the thought of introducing heat into the equation will sound more appealing.

Until then... it will just be ice cold liquids in my Kupp.

Holy shit man, I am sorry!! I just read through the Irma thread and man....that had to have sucked. I am glad your family an pets are OK. I am also super glad you got your power back or you may have nuked my account for even mentioning grilling, haha. Hang in there my friend and enjoy your AC and cold drinks....and a Rams victory!!

Having to be diplomatic today as we entertain some of my wife's colleagues from London town, so a late dinner after the Ram game, but we'll be doing some roasted duck with a few bottles of Pinot Noir for good measure, I guess having to be diplomatic is apropos playing Washington.

Going light on lunch today, maybe just some chips and dip.

Just had my traditional sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy breakfast.

TD shots Tullamore Dew courtesy of my seachicken fan sister up in Washington.

I'm slow smoking a corned beef brisket for some pastrami and have a whole chicken in with it, beer can style.

Also throwing some salmon filets and a couple turkey legs in the smoker. Wife wont have to cook all week..again LOL

You guys are just too easy going in comparison to me...calm during a Ram game????. I can't eat anything during a Ram game period.

Its hard to do that when you are arguing with yourself :argue:& yelling at the screen & trying to get your hands around the blind & tainted refs neck through the screen:headexplosion:& so forth..........I wish I could turn down my intensity level by 99%.

So Good to know I am surrounded by  Ram members who go at this so easy;).

Find a way to ship some of that to ND for scientific analysis.

Going to have some carnitas, new Mexico beans, and wash it down with a few IPAs.

I wouldn't want to be in an elevator with you tonight LOL.

I figured you would be sitting naked in the fridge for a couple of days to get that core temp back to normal.

no beer, just the chalice
and something from my meat locker

That looks fantastic.......and that's the best way to do a steak in a HOT cast iron pan. Maybe with some herb butter to help develop a nice crust or bark on it. The downside is the smoke in the house, but sometimes who cares!!! It's been awhile since I have done one like that. What's extra tasty is cooking up potatoes in the pan drippings. Just cut them up in chunks and cover and occasionally toss them around while the steak is settling.

It's a premium way to build a turd!

Well den, don't forget the doilies under the plate or it's just not quite right for football

Myself, I'm going to wander out to my favorite wing spot and indulge......though I have no idea if they have power and if they do they may have a limited menu like so many places still do from Irma. If that's the case then I guess I'll find a place to watch the game and chill. I've hardly been out of the house other than to get to the store for food and wait in line for gas.

I need a treat.
