Loved the end of episode #6!

What a great twist. I have not read the books but I am guessing that Tyrian is asking duel/combat to counter Tywin's plans with Jamie. So if Jamie represents the King then who does he fight? Bron? Bron can kick his butt and Jamie knows it. Tywin cannot allow that to happen can he? Jamie will die.

Or am I totally off base on this one?

Jamie wouldn't fight, he's not good enough yet. In the next episodes sneak peak, Tyrian says "Don't count me out yet brother" to Jamie. As in if he's got something up his sleeve. I swear to God I haven't read the books, but my best guess is Tywin brings in "The Mountain" to fight, and Tyrian ask Oberyn Martell to fight for him. Oberyn cannot refuse because of what the Mountian did to his sister.

Sorry I really hope I'm not spoiling anything but, I'm almost 100% sure that's what happens based off of the way the show has been going lol. I was also able to predict Jofferys death, the way it happened, and when it happened from the pre-season trailers. This show really has been bad at keeping people in the dark this season, way too predictable. The only thing that has surprised me so far is the ending of the last episode, which is why I liked it so much.

That would be a sweet outcome. The author of this story is very clever.

My guess is it will be "The Mountain" against his brother "The Hound."

NAh Jamie Lannister acts as Tyrians champion,so if he loses Tywan loses his blood line
Then again he could probably knock out some more kids himself,he's a young 67
AND WHAT IF Shay is pregnant ?

Reading this thread makes me so jealous of you guys. Having read the books, obviously i know what happens, but you guys get to experience it all for the first time! There's nothing quite like formulating theories as you go along, it's awesome.
Either way, you aren't going to be disappointed!

I have to be honest, I'm really glad that I have not read the books. It makes it that much better to not know what's going to happen each episode and going forward in further seasons. I bought the first book but I think I'm just going to wait to read them all until the series finishes out.

I can understand that. Im probably like 70/30 on it. 70% glad i read them, as they are AWESOME, well worth a read. However that other 30% of me wishes i could have seen it on the screen for the first time. As you say, it must be great going from episode to episode having no idea whats going to happen next.

Well I watched some of the videos on Youtube and it gives it away who fights who. One of the posters on page 6 was right on the money. Nice job figuring it out.

But I wont ruin it for the rest of you.

I read the books as they came out... last one A Dance with Dragons was released in early 2011.. so it has been a few years since I read them, so I dont really remember what happens when, or sometimes even who is involved. To be honest I forgot completely about Joffery and Margery's wedding and what happened until he actually started choking.

Holy Shit! I didn't see that coming. The end of episode 7 really throws a twist into things doesn't it?

btw I never understood why Baelish talks the way he does. He has a very strange manor of speaking. Is he originally from some other land? Or is that just the actors interpretation? It is very odd, and always dramatic.

Baelish is from the Fingers..some rocky islands off the coast of The Vale I think.

Prince Oberyn has that French accent as he is from Dorne, but none of the other actors from Dorne speak the same way LOL

I was disappointed that Tyrion didn't have that match in mind when he decided to ask for trial by combat. He is quite clever afterall and if he knew his sister would choose the Mountain, then he would have to deduce that Oberyn would jump at the chance to take down his most hated foe. How else would the Prince be able to legally confront Sir Gregor? It all makes perfect sense. I am also disappointed in myself for not figuring it out, but the absence of the mountain made him somewhat of an after thought.

Colts once flirted with signing 'Game of Thrones' giant

If you're all caught up on "Game Of Thrones," you're now familiar with the man they call "The Mountain."

Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane is played by Hafthor Bjornsson, who, when not slaying peasants for fun on premium cable, makes a living as a competitive weightlifter in his native Iceland.

The 6-foot-9, 419-pound Bjornsson looks like a CGI creation.
