A Steelers site only shows that they had one 6th rd pick and that was traded to the Bears.... which we now received for Jackson.

They don't show the pick being sent to us for Dotson, GBN does show that pick being sent to us. So it's odd. Unless they are counting on a comp pick for one of those trades or someone is missing a trade that was made that got them a second 6th rd pick

Given the Bears eating that contract it may be for a 2026 6th round pick which might make more sense for a player the Rams would have probably just cut.

Edit.

8/28/2023 Rams received 6th rounder from Steelers in Kevin Dotson trade
8/29/2023 Texans traded 6th rounder to Steelers for Kendrick Green
3/17/2024 Steelers traded 6th rounder to Bears for Justin Fields

So the Rams didn't add pick #197 but pick #204 (unofficially).

Steelers got a 6th round pick from the Texans for Olineman Kendrick Green near the cutdowns.

Wait, where the fuck did the Texans get that pick?! They gave their sixth to us in exchange for Skowronek and our seventh!

Did they release that information?
Yeah I'm curious to see the final number as well...

According to McVay's recent interview, it sounds like it is "essentially" a one year deal for 2025, although technically MS is under contract in 2026 as well. (McVay implied that if MS wanted to play again in 2026, he'd be all in favor of that, but they'd have to re-negotiate for 2026).

And as far as "reasonable" goes, I'm just going by the multiple reports of guys with "sources" who say that "MS signed for less than he could've gotten from Giants or Raiders."

I had read somewhere the Texans pick was for a 24' 6th rounder. Maybe that was wrong

Okay, I googled "Texans Steelers trade" and it came up. It is a 25' first rounder.

So which pick did we get? The Texans 6th or the Steelers original 6th? I guess it doesn't matter. Texans a few picks later.

Having the Bears take on the salary makes this deal make sense.
If the Rams had minimal cap saving, well, might as well keep him on the roster.
It makes sense for Jackson as well reuniting with his old OC.

Yeah, Snead and figuring out all of these 6th... Yikes.

So here it goes...

We get a 6th from Pitt for Dotson.

We get a 6th from Atl for Van Jefferson.

We a get a 6th from Chicago through Pitt, via Houston

And we have our own 6th...

Now that's a Les Snead Party!

OH, okay, Skowronek was a 2026 pick. My bad for panicking; there's just too many fucking sixths.

SNEEEAAAD, YOU'RE CONFUSING MEEEEE!!!!

Between the Stafford deal (reasonable one year agreement), Alaric deal (slight discount for quality young LT), and Jonah Jackson trade (huge salary cap win plus a sixth)....Rams are kicking major ass this off-season.

For the first time since 2021, Rams have a solid layer of talent AND very few holes AND cap flexibility AND draft capital. I'm ready to start drinking the Kool-Aid NOW... and we haven't even hit free agency yet!!
Agreed, the moves thus far have been as good as we could hope for.

First off - chill out with this shit.

Next...

Fair enough- but I took offense to it.Deiter explained himself later on.
Didn’t need to go that far.

The stuff below is how The Rams have done things in the past under Mcvay. They need to take care of there OWN!!! The WE players that have been a big part of the winning.

Alaric Jackson fits better than Johna Jackson did. It shows by the trade & The Rams EATING Cap!!

Stan Kronke almost bought the Dodgers. That was a sign he wanted to come to LA.The Dodger last season spent $1 BILLION on 2 Players last season. MY POINT is if there is NO CAP THE LA MARKET & WINNING to STAN KRONKE would be PRICELESS!!!

Cooper Kupp would still be a RAM!!!

Next year we have a 5th from TEN for Earnest Jones.

A 6th from HOU for Skowronek

A 6th from BALT for Tre White

MINN was supposed to get a conditional 6th for Cam Akers, but they cut him in 23' during the season after that trade so I'm guessing we still have that pick?

So we should have two 5ths and three 6ths as of now. So some firepower for some vet trades or trade deadline deals next season.
