Pretty sure you meant sad ... not said.

There is a ton of stuff between Optimism and Pessimism (more appropriate than cynicism).
For instance, there is Realism which often comes with maturity, knowledge and experience.
Thanks I was able to edit. Good looking out.

The only issue I have with the pessimism or cynicism (way I see it) in this case seem to be the failure to see the value of what the team received via this trade and the lack of consideration of what could possibly be done with that selection. Again they aren't locked into keeping and using that selection.

It’s really bugging me, not having a 5th rounder. I would love to see the Rams find a way to jump back in.
I struggled with that when doing a mock draft. Looks like a sweet spot for an DLineman, RB, or TE.
But if they find a partner willing to take two of those 6th rounders and they have that 5th rounder via the trade chart.

Those that are ONLY discussing the draft pick seem to be completely overlooking the taking on of the contract, including the bonus which freed up SUBSTANTIAL cap space. If it "only" made up the difference in the Stafford contract, THAT, in and of itself, is a pretty big win. Say it covers the difference and adds a little extra for the FA market, including our own, that definitely adds more value than JUST a late 6th rd. pick.
Yeah, looks like they may have been able to get a better pick, but chose to take a lesser pick for more cap room...which makes a lot of sense.

I wanted you to put in a little work. Well done Sir!

I don't agree on Kendrick. I think he is just awful.
Yeah, I debated counting him as a hit I figured I'd let your raise the objection. Apparently though, the Rams love him per Jourdan and still plan to play him. So....

Then what am I not getting ? That Alaric or Jackson didn’t want to sign a multi-year deal ??

You keep saying I don’t get it ? I believe I get it & that both sides IMO would have been better off getting a deal done.

I always believe that if they did that & didn’t sign Johna Jackson
it would’ve been money better spent at a much lower rate at the time.

To think a player doesn’t want security for less money with a franchise who believes in you & there comfortable with is HUGE.
Also a season earlier gives the player another chance to become a FA for an even bigger pay day.

I don’t get what your saying, because you said he wouldn’t take a 3 year deal & said 5 for $100 million. Then again I always go off recall. — you can look that one up ??

I also thought The Rams after Shelton went through the same thing & did a prove it deal. His last contract should’ve been 2 years. I think they did that with Austin Blythe??? Blythe groomed a 3 time (out of 4) Superbowl center.
He started for The Hags under Dickerson & retired. He was an overachiever & limited in size. The Rams did themselves & Austin a DISFAVOR by putting him next to a ROOKIE in Brian Allen & keeping him at GUARD!!
Meanwhile Shelton started last season at Center for the Bears.

It worked out well for THE RAMS & ALARIC like you said it wouldn’t ?

Is ALARIC’S contract TEAM FRIENDLY?? SO F-OFF !!

Plus just to add what I don’t get ? You kidding me.IF ALARIC had signed a Contract with another NFL TEAM they give The Rams a Draft pick SECOND ROUND??

My point is sign ALARIC last season !!! SO - WTF why & does your pantys get in such a bundle.

Corey Littleton play his AZZ off for The Rams & Les Snead sort of did him wrong ?? He left upset, but played well enough to get his long term deal. To say a player doesn’t want that SECURITY!!! Go tell someone else.

You need to put an eye 2 eye & am not lieing. I might have misunderstood what I don’t get ?

IMO I understand pretty well my POST,which isn’t always the best.
I don’t think you understood ME & or WE don’t see things the same way!!!

I like that you called ME out & explained yourself. Now WE can
Say who was right in The aftermath??

IMO The Rams got LUCKY & Alaric took a few dollars off The Table to stay another 3 seasons.I think The Rams with Johna & Limmer both being starters gives The Rams The most DEPTH UPFRONT than he has had in his NFL CAREER!!!

It comes at a CAP PRICE!! Also as a NON-DODGERS FAN- you think STAN KRONKE has a problem paying the BILL ???
—If it was in his hands he’d PAY COOPER KUPP to Stay EASILY!!!
KUPP is a HOF RAM FOREVER!!!

It’s a business, but as WE can ALL SEE EYE 2 EYE on that The RAMS ORGANIZATION treats there players well. ALARIC JACKSON & MATTHEW STAFFORD would agree & showed there appreciation by there contracts.

Kelly was saying TEAM FIRST & I appreciate her for sticking up for her HUBBY !! She just wanted to make sure The LOVE was there &
that THE RAMS wanted to WIN !!
First off - chill out with this shit.
SO F-OFF !!

It’s gonna take more than a couple of 6th rounders to do that. It takes a lotta points to move around in the 1rst. How would you do it?
Oh you're absolutely right, 6ths won't do it. I was being a bit hyperbolic.

Truly it would have to be one of our late 3rds for just a bit of a move up. Then perhaps packaging the 6ths for a move up again later in the draft to recoup higher picks on day three.

Yeah, I debated counting him as a hit I figured I'd let your raise the objection. Apparently though, the Rams love him per Jourdan and still plan to play him. So....
So sounds like he's our one head scratching player we may keep on the roster? They needed to cut his ass last year. He's entering Demby/Evans/Noteboom territory.....fuck

If they trade back into the top of the 2nd maybe they can get a 3rd & a 5th

Never got attached.

Between the Stafford deal (reasonable one year agreement), Alaric deal (slight discount for quality young LT), and Jonah Jackson trade (huge salary cap win plus a sixth)....Rams are kicking major ass this off-season.

For the first time since 2021, Rams have a solid layer of talent AND very few holes AND cap flexibility AND draft capital. I'm ready to start drinking the Kool-Aid NOW... and we haven't even hit free agency yet!!

What I don’t get about this 6th rd pick... We already have Pittsburgh's 6th rounder from the Dotson trade. (We all know they have our 5th)

I don't see on any draft site where Pittsburgh had another 6th rounder that then is being dealt to Chicago for Fields.... and then on to us?

A Steelers site only shows that they had one 6th rd pick and that was traded to the Bears.... which we now received for Jackson.

They don't show the pick being sent to us for Dotson, GBN does show that pick being sent to us. So it's odd. Unless they are counting on a comp pick for one of those trades or someone is missing a trade that was made that got them a second 6th rd pick
