sounds tempting but who at 3 would we like? My money would be an OT.
Honestly I'm thinking one of the QB's and Travis Hunter would be available.

I'd love Travis but we could hold a team over the barrel to trade up for a QB like the Jets at 7. With the aim to be able to upgrade 3-6 positions to league wide starting caliber this draft.

Yes, but I'd never pay that much if I were the Giants.
I don't think some people understand the entire Giants FO and coaching staff jobs are on the line by Thanksgiving if they don't win. I think they'd do that for sure getting back a 1. That also fills 2 of there big 5 holes.

If somebody gives us a pick then great otherwise I'm keeping him. Also stealing this from another site.

How the cap looks if we trade Kupp, Stafford, and Jackson who each three have a potential to be moved before free agency.

There's potential there to really cook something up.
I think this is why Darnold is still an option for us. We will have the cap room to sign him. I'm not saying I would, but if McVay likes him, we could get it done.

I think people understand their jobs are on the line AND giving up the 3rd is immediate grounds for dismissal.

A healthy package of other picks and possibly next years 1 is definitely out there.

I would take 2 and a 4, and a conditional 2 next year that could elevate to a #1. Maybe you give them back a 6 next year. We have multiple 6's again next year.

There really is. Trading those three isn’t the end of the world but I’m feeling Stafford and a deal gets done. 90% ✅. I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t.
How much if we only trade Kupp and Jackson?

I think we could be competitive with him. I just don't think we'd win a super bowl. I'm still one of the few sickos who would swallow the pill and let Aaron Rodgers join the team.

Has terminating a GM/HC ever happened here in late February/March? Especially with getting Stafford they’d have a minimum time frame of Thanksgiving, and probably by then they’d be at least .500 if not winning record.

Nope. I 100% think their current staff would.

However I think it’s a moot point since I think Stafford and them will work a deal for a minimum of two years.

I don't think we make a pick at 3. We'd trade down for a haul. No chance I'd take Sanders there. If Ward was there, perhaps.
That's what I'd do. That's why I keep thinking Stafford is possibly gone as the desperation of ine team is what it takes.

No chance McVay likes Darnold...or at least I hope not. McVay praised MS by saying something like, "he brings out the best in the biggest moments."

I watched Darnold in 3 games last year-- vs. the Rams in season, vs. Detroit at end of season, and vs. Rams in playoffs. 3 big games, and Darnold was terrible in all 3. Especially the last 2, 2 HUGE games. Darnold was just AWFUL in our playoff game, like a deer in the headlights.

This board would go nuts with disappointment if we signed Darnold. I can't imagine McVay is considering him.

Kevin O'Connell likes Darnold there's a very very good chance that McVay does as well. And Darnold IMO wouldn't be a long term signing just a bridge guy, we'd draft a guy as well.

Way we're going we probably couldn't afford Darnold. Of course Rams could bend it how they need to but still damn.

If I was an owner and the GM and HC were on a short leash, I'd make them consult me before any big trades or moves. You can't risk them being desperate and mortgaging multiple future years to save their jobs in the present.
