Nick Foles described as “overjoyed he’s out of Philly”

Nick Foles is glad to be out of Philadelphia.
Foles, the former Eagles quarterback who was traded to the Rams for Sam Bradford and draft picks yesterday, apparently wanted to leave. Sal Paolantonio of ESPN said on 97.5 The Fanatic that a Foles relative described Foles as ecstatic to no longer be an Eagle.
“I just talked to a member of Nick Foles’s family. He is absolutely pumped, overjoyed he’s out of Philly,” Paolantonio said.
There had been no previous reports of Foles clashing with coach Chip Kelly, but it’s become clear recently that Kelly wasn’t satisfied with any of his top offensive skill position players. Foles, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin are all leaving the team this week.
In St. Louis, Foles is going to a place where he’s expected to be the starter. After enduring months of speculation that he’d be replaced in Philadelphia by Marcus Mariota, it’s easy to see why Foles would be happier as the man in St. Louis.

I loved his tweet when this was announced. I already love his demeanor as our QB. Let's get him an o-line and a WR or two and let's storm the NFC West from the back of the pack.

I really believe that Chip Kelly's best fit is in college. He wants total control, in the mold of Nick Saban, Bobby Petrino and Schiano. They are better suited to lead high school kids. Grown men command a bit more respect and Kelly is not the type of coach to give it.

When he finally leaves Philly they will be a bad team full of holes.

I also read that LeSean McCoy talked Frank Gore out of going to Philly. Bad sign when players don't want to play for a guy.

It's boom or bust in Philly. They get off to a slow start and that ship will sink so fast. Kelly pizzed off the majority of the team when he got there with his up tempo high pace stuff and there was chirping when they started slow. Then the Foles phenomenon kicked in, they went on a crazy run and won some games. Last year was a disappointment and the dissension rose again. Steven A Smith is a total tool but the reality is that a LOT of players are unhappy there

Seriously, he must be to used to coaching in college where he has so much more talent thant the other teams 8 times a year he could draw "X"s in the dirt and win. He is unhappy with probowl level talent??? What does he want a team of HOFers? He thinks his system is so good he can replace guys like this easily. While I do believe that a good system helps a great deal I think he is going to learn painfully that the NFL is much different than college, and high level players are not just "replacable".

My disadvantage for Bradford that I hadn't thought of before is that he was beloved here. Philly will welcome him with disdain and if he comes out flat, they will let him know. I wonder how he will respond.

It is a bit of a head scratcher. I have a Ram fan in Philly, who says Kelly is in panic mode and has no idea what he is doing. Fan in Philly are squirming but then again, what else is new with those fans.

That's actually a good question, they are going to dissect him on sports radio. I wonder how mentally tough he will be hearing people point out all the flaws in his game, without ever taking a snap for those fans.

And when they are cheering for Sanchez to come in. Kelly is such a wild card, I wouldn't rule out Sanchez even winning the job

Another good point, Bradford had it good in STL and Oklahoma for that matter. He has never really had to deal with adversity or battle for a job. Outside of the injuries he has had little to deal with mentally.

I don't think he'll have a problem with that, or the game plans. I think his only problem will be the knee. If that is a non issue, I think he'll have great success. Basically same thing as here. He doesn't strike me as a guy who pays much attention to the stuff on the side.

This is fanfuckingtastic.
I might get mugged at lunch but we will see! I only know the guys I work with are so depressed with all of Chip off season moves I think they're going to start calling in sick! haha It's beautiful. Anyone who lives in the Philly area will know what I mean with their "Great Fans"! The tear... oh the tear!

Living in the Philly area I am loving this off season. A ton of my boys are on suicide watch at this point and seeing that I already got the double Foles jersey and am wearing it at work make it even sweeter!!!

Glad you're able to have fun with your boys at work but seems to me that you have defaced an A. Donald jersey.

And people talking about how bradord will light it up in Kelly's system because foles did. Well Bradford won't have macclin Jackson and McCoy. He's gonna have cooper Matthews and celek, which might be even less than he had here.

Yeah, they talked about that on STL radio yesterday.

Bradford had it good in STL. Philly is a whole different story.

Not as bad as Boston fans, but hard on their "heroes".
:);)
