September 23rd, 1984 Cincinnati Ohio. I graduated High School early in January to enlist in the Air Force and had been through basic, technical training & then jump school before being assigned to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio, which was less then an hour away from Cincinnati.

Our First Sergeant had season tickets, knew I was a Ram fan and gave them to me and my roommate (from Tennessee & a Charger fan although he didn't know Don Coryell's first name, kept calling him Air) anyway I was finally able to see my Los Angeles Rams live and the uniforms were glorious.

Rams had lost Vince Ferragamo the week before against Pittsburgh and Jeff Kemp was leading my Rams, with a 52 yard touchdown pass to Ron Brown the Olympian Sprinter as the Rams controlled the game, but the Bengals scored late and it was 17-14 with about a minute and change left.

The Bengals lined up for an onside kick, but kicked it in the opposite direction, where slow man Mike Guman picked it up and rambled 43 yards for the touchdown, which seem like it took an eternity. Walking out I heard a gentleman say, "I can't believe we lost to them with that quarterback." And I turned to him as he was quite a bit shorter then me and said "How about them Rams." He just shook his head and walked away. What a great day.

1979 NFC Championship Game vs Tampon. My Grandad surprised me with tickets. We were back home in FL for the holidays visiting. Our orange grove was being picked and my Grandad told me to climb up into one of the trailers that were full of oranges (18 wheeler trailer) so he could get a pic of me standing on top of all the oranges. I found the tickets when I got up there. Such a great surprise.

We won of course in a baseball score like game. My Tampon hatred started then.

That was a good one.

Rams got off to a rough start in 1984. Ferragamo was struggling, and then was injured. Did not feel any confidence in Jeff Kemp.

Winning that fourth game was huge; and Kemp was solid throughout the season. Dickerson running for 2,105 yards also helped.

The playoff loss to the Giants was a disappointment.

Yeah, on 4th and 2 against the Giants where the Rams could have kicked a FG to tie, but they needed a first down, to get to first and goal, went for it, but handed it off to FB Dwayne Crutchfield instead of Eric Dickerson, the Giants stuffed it and I can still hear my younger self screaming on that one.

A good friend of mine in the AF and was a Steeler fan would keep saying to me "Dwayne Crutchfield." How can you give it to Dwayne Crutchfield, with Eric Dickerson in the backfield." Love him as a friend (brother) to this day, but it is one of the reasons I cannot stand the Steelers.

After four NFC Championship Game losses in the prior five seasons, THAT was a HUGE win.

Always wished Merlin Olsen (retired after 1976) and Tom Mack (retired after 1978) could have been a part of that team. Mack was more realistic, having retired the prior year but … damnit … I loved Merlin.

First game was Rams first London game vs Patriots. Sam Bradford threw a 50 yard BOMB on the first drive - 7-0 Rams and me and my dad and two friends were going mental.

Final score- Rams 7 - 48 Patriots

Still a great day out!

Have since seen wins vs Raiders in Oakland and vs Bengals and Cardinals in London. I have a 3-1 record!
Same first game for me as well. Was it Givens that caught the pass?

La Rams at the NJ Meadowlands to see the Rams beat the Giants. I have no idea when or why I became a Rams fan, just that I always have been. I'd like to say I remember Pat Thomas INT return TD in that game, but I think I just recall what happened from looking up the box score more than anything else. That was my (early) birthday present that year, was going to be 12, and I kept that stub for the longest time.

My dad always told me the first Rams game he took me to was against the Packers at the Coliseum. “Roman Gabriel vs Bart Star” he’d say. Well I have no memory of this so when I had the opportunity to look that up it would have been week 5 of the ‘69 season and I would have been 3 years old.

The first game I remember was against the Bills in 1974. My friend was a big USC fan and therefore a huge OJ Simpson fan. So his parents bought Tickets for the game and let him bring a friend…that was me! I was the lone Rams fan of the group. I had my zip up Rams sweater on and I remember they let me pick out a souvenir before the game, a gold football pin that said Rams on it and had a blue and yellow ribbon hanging down that I pinned to my sweater. It was James Harris vs Joe Ferguson and I remember we had end zone seats (on the closer side) and that it was a close game but the Rams won. My friend gave me the silent treatment for most of the ride home.

Dec. 4th, 1983. Philadelphia.

Rams got beat 13-9. My in-laws had 4 luxury box seats from 1981-1984, when "luxury box" was a term used most loosely. The luxurious part of it was a bathroom just outside the box and TV monitors inside. No glass and IIRC, that day it was in the mid 30's. The Vet was a concrete monstrosity that seemed to hold the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer. You'd figure, a luxury box would have a heater. But I was in my glory. Young Eric Dickerson was coming to town (as well as young Henry Ellard who led the Rams in receiving yards that day). I got to see Vince Ferragamo, who had a decent day but the biggie was seeing Jack Youngblood. I had my Minolta X700 with a 70-210 zoom and I got some great shots. The best was of JY walking by himself as they changed ends between the 3rd and 4th quarter. The thing I remember most about that day, is they stifled ED (only saw 1 really good run). He had 103 yards on 28 carries.

My first time seeing a Rams home game, ironically was Dec. 4th, 2005 at the ED. RRF fest. Fitzmagic started, coming off a terrific comeback OT win in Houston but the Redskins pounded him and the rest of the Rams 24-9. After Leonard Little, the "big names" on defense were a washed up Dexter Coakley and Chris Claiborne. Clinton Portis had 147 yards rushing, 2 TDs and FB Rock Cartwright had 118 (on 9 carries). We sucked big time!

Thank Gawd for McVay!!!!!

I don't know why I never saw the Rams in LA.

My first game I saw was November 20, 2015 where we led in the 4th quarter and people from Baltimore were leaving.

I shook my head and said Fisher will find a way to lose that game. Yep. I was always skeptical during the Fisher years. Couldn't help it.

However, that was the day that I told my friend to keep an eye on Donald. He had never heard of him before that day and he came away in awe of THE DONALD.
