Let's see how this works. Benefits should be more accurate projection as you're watching a game, getting to root for your defense to get points in key moments, and a slightly better alignment between actual good defenses and fantasy defensive rankings. Ultimately, it shouldn't be a league breaker or anything so I felt fine adding it in here.

can we do a some sort of poll or something throwing out a few different draft days and times to narrow down a good time for the draft?
 
Hi,

All these years I never new ROD had a fantasy football league. Is it to late for me to join?

I'm ok if it's to late as I will have my hands full with entering games in Sportsbook for this season, so don't be afraid to tell me I can't play and it's to late.
 
Maybe a look back on how long the draft took previous years and count back from there to give everyone a good shot at it? I haven't participated in years but would possibly want to if there are openings.

Don't hold it back if it's a problem. But if we want to have it bigger, maybe a thought?

IF you can find around 8 other people interested we can certainly have a 2nd league. I'd even be willing to manage both so that the numbers all stay the same so we can compare teams a bit better across leagues.

Yes, it makes you create an account on sleeper, and it automatically names your team whatever your username is, but you have plenty of opportunities to change your team name after that. I'd recommend using your ROD username so we can identify you easier, but some folks enjoy using other names and that is also totally fine.

Dang, those poll options fairly drastically change the date/time that has been posted for a while (8/22 3pm). I definitely get that time doesn't work for a lot of us Westcoasters, but most of the poll options are for Labor Day weekend, which is a big camping/vacation weekend. Of those new dates, Monday is all that I could attend unfortunately.

Later on the 22nd doesn't work for everyone? it seems like the only issues were that it was too early that day.

I didn't consider Labor Day weekend, I only pushed it back to be closer to regular season to save people from injury issues (last year I got Cooper Kupp with pick 3 in one of my leagues).

But I hear you, lets see everyone else chime in. @Mojo Ram @Angry Ram @AvengerRam @Corbin @DLux27 @dpjax @El Chapo Jr @HX76 @Juice @Ramrasta @RamRod @RamsOfCastamere. What do you ya'll think of a draft this weekend, Say 8/23 at 5pm PST?

I’m not home from work until 8 pm PST Thursday - Sun but I can set up to auto draft if I have to.

I do agree with your injury concerns.
