That's a bunch of duckets, but he is the best G in the market, now. Should have been part of the Bradford deal, instead of the 4th, but Murray changed things for them.
 
Complete speculation, but I think this impacts Blalock and Wisniewski's asking price, if for no other reason than Mathis is a stud player and there is no way those 2 guys are going to make more than him.

Mathis is probably worth at least a 4th, especially considering his term.

Just saw that he was 34..... getting pretty old but played at a high level last year. wonder how much hes got left in the tank?

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles are trying to trade LG Evan Mathis.

It's a surprising development as Mathis comes off a dominant year, but he is going on age 34 and the Eagles are probably trying to get younger up front. They may believe they can plug-and-play a rookie at left guard. Mathis' 2015 base salary is a reasonable $5.5 million. He's a lock to attract interest.
