is on the move.

The veteran tackle has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

ESPN first reported the news.

Brown returned last week from a prolonged holdout. Now he'll be getting up to speed with a new team, which he coincidentally just faced on Sunday.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.

Great. I bet they got him for like a 4th round pick or something, which is nuts for a stud LT.

Most insiders thought it was going to be the Eagles or Seahawks that pulled the trigger.

It was an excellent move by Seattle but it doesn't change my opinion that they're the now best team in the NFC.

That will be decided in December and I'm confident our squad can still to toe to toe with any team in the NFL.

Just another reason to hate them for me . Still it's only one guy and I honestly think the Rams are going to get better and the Hags have peeked . Plus eventually their luck will run out

Honestly pretty ticked how we and other teams let them escape with wins and now they are setting themselves up nicely for their typical late season run.

Those of you who said yesterday and our loss to them didn't matter were delusional.

What is Seattle's current record? What's our current record? Do we play them again?

You can freak out. I'm not. We're the better team. The cream will rise to the top.

have to agree with you.
Kupp should of caught that damned ball! and 14 other things could of changed to singularly for us to win but we gave them a cheap one.

They are running the show now in our division with just that win. Time to out gain them so that late game in Seattle doesn't matter either way.

I think its a good move by them. I hate it. They actually did something to help the o-line, which was there biggest weakness, and they did it by adding a above average LT which they needed. Only strengthens a strong team.

You want to be the best? you got to beat the best. Pure and simple.

Thanks for the details of the trade @VFerragamo I'm not sure a 5th and 2nd is an overpay for a good, left tackle. I haven't followed D. Brown's career, and only know of him because he was mentioned during hold-out conversations this year along with Aaron Donald.

Here's his Wikipedia info:
Houston Texans
Brown was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round (26th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was only the second Virginia Tech offensive lineman ever drafted in the first round of an NFL Draft, after Eugene Chung in 1992. He started all 16 games as a rookie and became the first Texans rookie lineman to start every game since Chester Pitts in 2002. In 2009, Brown protected the blind side of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub who led the NFL with 4,770 passing yards and helped the offense set franchise records with 6,129 total yards and 388 points.[7]

During the 2010 season, he started 12 games, allowing 6.5 sacks and zero holding penalties.[8]

In 2011, Brown was listed on USA Today All-Joe Team and was named second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press, not allowing a single sack or commit a holding penalty.[9]

On August 16, 2012, Brown and the Texans agreed on a six-year, $53.4 million extension, with $22.08 million guaranteed. Brown was in the final year of his rookie contract; the extension will kick in at the conclusion of the 2012 season.[10] Brown was named onto the 2012 All-Pro Team as a first-team selection and was voted to play in the 2013 Pro Bowl at the end of the 2012 season.

On January 3, 2016, Brown tore his quadriceps tendon during the first quarter of a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This injury required surgery and Brown was able to return for the 2016 season.[11]

Brown suffered a knee injury during the 2016 offseason and missed the first four games of 2016 before returning in Week 5 and started the final 12 games.

Brown did not attend the Texans' mandatory minicamp as part of a push for a new contract, even though he had two years left on the deal. On July 25, 2017, the Texans placed Brown on the reserve/did not report list after not showing up for the start of training camp.[12] On October 23, 2017, Brown returned to the team after missing the first six games.[13]

So he is 32 years old coming off a couple back to back injuries in consecutive seasons. 2 years left on a 6 year contract, and wants that last final contract to carry him through his career. You would think the Texans would have made it work with the guy.

I hate that this guys went to the Seahawks. I don't like the idea of Wilson having even more time. Seahawks and us both seem to be following the Pats model: never be content, keep adding pieces.

I suspect they will be a worthy adversary. Bastards.
