Just watched episode 4. Another good ride.

A real Return of the Jedi feel about it ... with less Ewoks .. :sneaky::sneaky:
of the four episodes so far , this one felt more like a TV show

little bit of a filler episode , but a necessary one

with only four episodes left , this one felt kinda like the calm before the storm episode

The ATST was pretty cool

My son's girlfriend let us snake her Disney Plus account so that I could watch The Mandalorian 1 -4 yesterday.

I fucking CANNOT wait until next Friday for the new one.

There's a baby fucking Yoda! What in the actual fuck is a baby Yoda even called? Does anyone know?

It's not Yoda though I thought... my son says that this series is happening AFTER the 1st 3 Star Wars movies (the oldest movies)...

Is he wrong here?

No , it's not Yoda

it's just what everyone is calling him............for now

My Theory

The scientist guy with the glasses from the first episode of The Mandalorian is from the cloning facility on the planet of Kamino from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

and baby Yoda is a clone of Yoda,

baby Yoda is 50 years old now which would put at about the right age ( time frame ) as the adult clone troopers in Attack of the Clones would be

The scientist guy wants baby Yoda back

Werner Herzog wants him dead

but..........

thats just my theory

no one knows yet , which is why we keep watching , could be a Yoda grand kid

might not be related to Yoda at all

Ahem. Allow me to answer here.

Your son, is in fact, correct. The Mandalorian DOES take place AFTER the fall of the Empire, which is what the original Trilogy was detailing. However, one can also CONCLUDE this from Episodes 1-3, in which we clearly see Yoda in the Jedi Council.

Another piece of tidbit

Disney Plus is also making a Obi Wan Kanobi series

Deborah Chow will be directing the whole series I believe

Deborah Chow is the one who directed Chapter Three of the Mandalorian ,

Correct.

I was going to say the whole clone timing being the same and all that since it would only be about 25 years since and clones age twice as fast and the baby yoda is 50, but I didn't. :D

I about burst out laughing when I saw this part

for those that are familiar with the prequels , it's like one of the dumbest lines ever

well , that and the "I hate sand" line...................lol

but thats why I like the show the Mandalorian so much , their not afraid to take themselves to serious

Chapter 5 was just packed full of nostalgia , from revisiting that Cantina from the original movie were Luke and Han first meet , or those little pit droids from Phantom Menace

it might be one of the weaker episodes , but it had me grinning several times

a little tid bit of info

even though Pedro Pascal is the actor given credit for the role of The Mandalorian

truth be told , it is actually Brendan Wayne who spends most of the time under the helmet

Brendan Wayne is the grandson of the great John Wayne

That is soooooooooooo cool. Thanks for that... I like the show even more now!

I have a cool thing like this from the original Star Wars movies. The real actor who was behind the Darth Vader mask sat next to me on a plane. I still have the picture he gave me with his autograph and something saying he was the Real Darth Vader. I can post of pic of that if you are interested.
